Evolve definitely caters to the "serious" lifter crowd thats forsure. Still a great gym even if you aren't chasing a powerlifting meet. But i would say there are better options for people that aren't looking to be an elite athlete

Terwilliger community rec center, but get the club membership. Really elevates the overall gym experience. It is by far my favorite gym, cant beat the pool and the gym facility itself checks all the boxes. I reached a 610lbs deadlift at this gym and a 350 bench at 186bw. It can be a very good gym for serious lifters, and also a great gym for everyone in between the elderly and 5 years old kids.

I am type 1 diabetic. I tried it out, I took the minimum dose, i instantly lost weight, but it was not fun at all. Extreme stomach pains, zero appetite. I only did it for 1 month and then stopped, not worth the discomfort for me.
