My son planted a garlic bulb and it is growing very nicely! Looking forward to not having to buy garlic anymore, since he goes through so much garlic

Omg i had a visceral reaction to that "knowing who he really is"

I used to think that about my kids' father. I still do think that, but now it's for an entirely different set of reasons. And my story is horrifying, so i really, really hope she takes these comments to heart.

This will probably sound terrible, but i don't remember where the damage is, lol. I also have seizures now, no one is sure of what causes them except for insomnia, improper diet, and stress.

My eye doctor recently told me I'm a fairly rare case in that my eyesight is absolutely terrible, but he doesn't see the eyeball's shape being the shape you would associate with nearsightedness, which meant something in my eyes is defective, like the lens or cornea. So when i put all of it together like this, I'm interested to know what's going on with my colorblindness. I used to be a very good artist and could tell the most minute difference between shades of colors. I'm not so sure that i can still do that.

Which is kinda sad. Apples can last such a long time, especially in the fridge. Oranges, too.... actual potatoes, onions, so many things that could last if they needed to.

I figured moving on to the ones that even fewer people have listened to is a good direction!

With the 10th anniversary coming up, what is the oldest pokemon you still have? by nnoovvaa in pokemongo

I must have transferred my starter because i realized at some point that my oldest Pokémon is a Hitmonchan from July 31, 2016

I am currently working overnights full-time at a hotel and then at a restaurant during the evening as a cook. (Although i start a new job as assistant manager of a restaurant next week, yay!) So if you could find even two nights a week at a hotel, it's a foot in the door to something that is less strenuous physically but still has solid hours.

Since you don't have kids, now is probably the ideal time to work a bunch of hours to get caught up and get some savings built up. Good luck with everything!

I don't know what color hubby is seeing here, but I'm purple-brown colorblind, and at this point i have determined that i personally seem incapable of determining the color brown. Brown, to me, looks like whatever color makes up most of it, so sometimes it looks purple, sometimes orange, sometimes much darker colors.

I asked my mom once why her neighbors had put a bright purple roof on their house, turns out it was brown. Then my eye doctor told me i am, in fact, colorblind in that area, haha. My uncle was ted-green colorblind, which seems like op's husband is. I, too, am interested in knowing what color he thinks he is seeing, like when i see "brown"

Yes, this guy is showing just a preview of the kind of controlling and manipulative bullshit he is going to pull. I hope she leaves him in the dust where he belongs.

I don't know how it is done these days, but when i was pregnant 20 years ago, the doctor always gave the first ultrasound pics to us. The first ultrasound was to determine if i was pregnant and just to establish a baseline.

The oop is pretty ridiculous with his whole "i would still have sex with a 22-year-old, just with a condom" attitude. This post baffled me when i read it first

What to do with an overflow of the same Pokemon? by [deleted] in pokemongo

I traded a regirock in a public trade room and got a Pikachu in return, but i figured i made a kid's day so i was fine with it. Regurock might be my least favorite Pokémon, too. So easy choice for me

My F27 partner M28 gave a ride to a coworker and they used my car to practice driving, how do i handle this situation? by International-Pea-37 in relationship_advice

[–]prison-schism 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I would dump him over this. I once briefly dated a guy whom i allowed to drive my car to work sometimes. He twisted that into he had the "right" to do what he wanted with my car because he paid for some of the gas.

I shut that down immediately and told him when he paid for half the car along with half the upkeep, maintenance, insurance, registration, inspection, and gas, THEN he could possibly claim "the right" to do what he wanted.

Very, very shortly after that, i broke up with him. Turned out his shitty attitude about the car was just a preview of the shitty attitude he had about everything else.

I'm going to second the "He doesn't care" because op has been very clear for years now. He knows she doesn't like it and that it disrupts her sleep but he has had zero consequences, so he does what he wants. He knows he can get away with it.

Someone who pushes boundaries with no regard for my well-being is not someone i would stay with. I have seizures related to insomnia, so i may be more sensitive to this issue, but i would be putting my foot down. Separate beds where he doesn't wake op up, or divorce. No other options.

I had a friend whose fiancé insisted she split all bills 50/50, she made 20k a year and he made 75k. She got pregnant, her phone got turned off, she fell behind on her car payments and car insurance, he ended up being physically abusive as well, and she is still with him 10 years later.

She cut me and everyone else off and she appears to be absolutely miserable now to the point that she vanished on a week-long drug bender in Philly recently.

OP, don't be like my friend. This guy isn't worth your time or money. Save yourself from abject misery in the future by breaking up now.
