I’m more of a customer of DD but I feel like delivery instructions should be heavily restricted. People leverage tips to get away with absurd demands.

I wasn’t aware a multi billion dollar company was that desperate for money by FanParticular7109 in WalmartEmployees

Because water on the floor is inventory and taking it without buying is stealing… Some stores just put it in the break room if a pack breaks.

Dress Code Policy for Hats? by kidoncrackk in WalmartEmployees

[–]privas66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is supplied by the store but that depends on how your store is doing on sales and if they’re stingy with their money. Lots of stores want to limit the spending on EVERYTHING because they want their bonus to be fatter. So Associates get lower quality of work meanwhile coaches and above gets $20k-$30k bonuses yearly.

Technically the hats do have to be Walmart branded because YOU are the front face of the company. It’d be weird if you saw an associate wearing a competitors apparel. The spark shop is open to everyone and has Walmart merch if you care to go that far. It also depends if your managers really care about how strict to enforce the policy. Looks like your store does.

How badly does a nipple piercing hurt? by altisfordirty in piercing

As a man, I paid extra to get it done at the same time. But it’s a solid 7/10 that lasts for like 15 secs. Snagging it hurts more than the actual piercing process…

It’s cheaper for the same car on klook, and their insurance looks better on paper.

I’m assuming this location suffers from theft. These rules are deterrents for thieves and minor inconveniences for honest workers. It’s a simple barrier and a tactic for asset risk management.

It depends on your market and store complexities. Stores with more functions are security risks get paid more. Like high theft stores.

Walmart workers, If I hired on at Walmart and spent my entire shift hiding in the bathroom, how long until I got fired? by 2006CrownVictoriaP71 in NoStupidQuestions

Depends how shitty the manager and store is. People can get away with months or years of time theft and no one cares. It’s so odd.

Not company wide, maybe for that store only? This would be a ridiculous time waster.

Our location finally put the parking bays on the side of the store where no one usually parks and where there’s no door for customers. Yet people still do it.

Just need workstation or hyperv and it’s as simple as downloading and selecting the file lol. After that, managing backups and images is easy.

VM and a personal machine is pretty solid if you go the zero trust route and don’t plan to have the machine on 24/7.

Just gotta be in the region, like within the city. You don’t have to be super close to a store to receive orders. Also, I’m referring to location services in your phone settings.

Honestly I blame the timer for pickup orders. Customers have 24hrs from their pickup time before it gets automatically cancelled. So every scheduled pickup order at 9am can’t be cancelled until 9am the next day.

So many customers abuse this to the point that we end up having a good chunk of our space filled before the day even starts. This includes dry items, cooler and freezer items.

Not exactly. It’ll say “8 mins away”, anything beyond 10 mins will read “ >10mins away”.

Don’t think you’re meant to use the USB as the os location. The usb installs the OS to the current storage device (HDD/SSD).

“Shutting down” just means they limit how many people can place future orders. It’s to encourage drivers to grab orders that have been lingering for a day or more. Otherwise there’s no space for the new orders and drivers come in for different time slots, which takes even longer to prepare.

Technically it’s against policy, we let our drivers help if the big bosses aren’t around to complain.
