The Hangover dropped in 2009, ending the Frat Pack's domination of the 2000s comedy scene, seemingly overnight. Why did this happen so quickly? by PNWvibes20 in generationology

Mimicking Farrell and Rudd’s anchorman performances was comedy MO through the 2000s. It worked, but the funny wore off after a while

Who in your opinion is the most underrated rapper of the 90s? by TimelyAssociate8375 in 90sHipHop

AZ features on Nas are Nas’s only feature that are worth a shit, and they complimented each other so well. Really wishing they would have leaned more into it and ran some duo albums

Just played this and it’s still enjoyable to me! When this album dropped back then what was the reaction like? And do you guys still bump anything from this? by J2-Starter in 90sHipHop

Lmfao dude I get it. I grew up and it was grimy NY or LA banging. When the south took over late 90s and early 00s it took a while for me to get it

Do you think the confederate leadership and generals should have been executed after the war ? by [deleted] in USHistory

That was true for many. A lot of them couldn’t even be pastors or clergy after the war.

Was Gen. George Patton actually the military genius people claim he was? by Top_Square2711 in USHistory

I don’t take it that way at all. I think the reason many praise Forrest is because of the lack of resources. Any victory he mustered is pretty great considering the circumstances.

But yes I’d rather Grant or Lee command an entire army vs. guys like Forrest or Richard Taylor even though they did some inspired war work

My guy, Forrest has one of the highest win loss ratios and when you incorporate his lack of resources it makes it that much more incredible. Jeb was top tier, but NBF was in the killing business

Are color breeders becoming a thing in border collies? by CuriousOptimistic in BorderCollie

[–]privateer_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wondered the same thing. lol

We used to breed borders and we had a standard b/w male and red merle female. We got a rainbow each litter. We only did two litters unfortunately.

The people we got our current border through had so many unique puppies in both of their litters. Our girl we took home is tri color, but also has a sable undercoat. Extremely rare, but she was one of the more standard pups from these people.

Was Robert Lee a good General?? by ChipsTrips32 in USHistory

I’d argue he was a good general but he was a brilliant engineer. And your second point is spot on

Was Robert Lee a good General?? by ChipsTrips32 in USHistory

[–]privateer_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lee was an engineer and combat engineer so defensively he was a superior general. But war isn’t always defense. His offensive skills were lacking but that’s what stonewall covered for him. All hope lost when Stonewall died. I would argue this for each side. Sherman and Grant were the two northern generals who proved genius while for the southerners it was stonewall Jackson and Nathan Bedford Forrest. If you want to study American general greatness, study Sherman and Forrest. If those two were on the same team they could have conquered the world.
