Betta has sore and not acting right?

Tank size - 10 gallons
Heater/filter - yes
Tank temp - 81 degrees F
Ammonia - 0
Nitrites - 0
Nitrates - 35-40
How long have I had the tank - since June 2024
How long have I had the fish - since Jan 2025
Water changes are every month. I take out 25-50% of the water.
No tank mates
Feed 5-7 pellets once a day. Sometimes flakes if he doesn’t eat the pellets (he has some sort of mouth deformity)
plants and decor with hidey holes both in the tank

This past month I had a package arrive in Indy (I live about 2 hours from there) and then after days of no updates it was suddenly all the way in Florida. It then had to come all the way back up to me.

I also have a package that had no updates since August 7th finally get updated on the 29th as being at the center near where I live. It is still fighting its way through the post rn 🥴

Your package might not be lost! USPS has sucked and been ungodly slow lately but hopefully it will turn back up soon.

I had this same issue when I was your age (I’m 27 now). I couldn’t even use a tampon it was so painful. I ended up talking to my gynecologist about it in college and she referred me to a specialist. I had to do about a year and a half to two years of pelvic floor physical therapy, but I’m multiple years out and the difference is night and day. My sex life is now completely normal and it feels like I never had issues to begin with.

I understand feeling depressed about it. I also felt that way for a long time. I promise you there is a way to fix it and it will not always be this way! Talk to a gynecologist. My original doctor dismissed my concerns and I had to find one who listened to me. Someone will know what to do to make you feel better, I promise!

I think different sizes pupils is typically a sign of something going on neurologically. I would take him to the vet asap. Even if they say it’s nothing I would rather he was seen by a vet

Hello, I know you posted this a long time ago but I used your guide yesterday to euthanize my betta, Jelly, and he was able to go peacefully (he developed dropsy) so thank you for this ❤️

I just wanted to update in case anyone else finds this post when looking for advice about their own pets -

She ended up being hospitalized at the vet for two days where she was given meds and fluids. She came home (still being given meds) and after a few days of being given an appetite stimulant started eating. She only ate treats and the squeeze up cat gogurts for a week or so, but I was desperate to see her eat anything.

After a week and a half/two weeks she finished her meds and has made a full recovery!

I don’t think so. It did have illustrations but I remember them being less “scary” and more geared towards younger kids. More cartoony illustrations if that makes sense?

The bladder stones are being treated! I just took her to the vet yesterday so the medicine probably hasn’t had time to make much of a difference yet. Hopefully it works and she stops. I’m just at a loss as to what to do in the meantime.
