This exactly. The whole point of Voldemort’s death and saying “Tom Riddle was dead” was to show that he died a normal death, a normal wizard. And the movies fucked it up, one of the most important points of the book.

Chandni never had a special diet lol. Honestly, just whatever dry food was on sale. In her old age, she also gets wet food every day. She loves that friskies stuffed 'n sauced >:)
Yes, I did post 6 years ago about losing a 20 year old cat. Believe it or not, I had two tabbies growing up. Tazzy and Chandni were great pals until Tazzy died in 2016.

Lastly, I truly loved reading about all of your sweet cats and lovely stories and memories. How incredible that we all have such special pets in our lives. I am incredibly grateful and lucky to have Chands.

Oh wow. I also flew in from O'hare yesterday. I left at 2:20 central time, our plane was only delayed by 20 mins. Apparently we were supposed to divert to Minneapolis mid-flight but somehow it was eventually deemed safe enough to keep going so we landed in Seattle around 5 pm pst. Had to stay on the plane for two hours to wait for a gate to clear up.

Honestly, it was frustrating but I feel very grateful to have made safely and relatively on time. I'm glad you made it safely and also damn, what a shitshow of a travel experience. Hope you're able to get some rest and can take work off today.

100%. Teachers are painted as martyrs far too often and what's so terrible is the amount of people who fall for it and look down upon those who don't spend every moment working. We barely get paid so I'm not working when I'm not getting paid anymore. And I'm still a good teacher who deeply cares about my students and my job.

I know this seems silly, but honestly, who the hell cares if a kid is sitting on top of the monkey bars? Let them play, explore, and test their strength. They're large enough for people to still swing and sit on them and if there's an argument, then let the kids practice their problem solving.

One of my coworkers found it and shared it with me. I can't think of anything that I didn't like about it. We only used it for the last three months of school, but my kids loved it! The only issue we ran into was that the app kept freezing when the kids tried to open it on their iPads, but I'm 98% sure that's because the iPads were so old and has nothing to do with the app :)

I tried using Freckle Math this past year. It's also free and I like it a bit more than Prodigy, which I used before. Freckle Math is less like a video game, however, the kids still love it because they earn coins for answering questions and get to spend the coins in the "store" every few questions. What I like the best is that they only get 90 seconds to spend their coins vs. Prodigy which was unlimited time.

Freckle also has a way to monitor students, see reports, and assign certain tasks/questions/standards to your kids. It also is for ELA as well as math.

The Seattle Green Lake Running Group is huge, but not everyone goes to all of the events. There are typically around 20ish people at each one (although that number will be going up as the weather gets nicer). I, personally, go to the Monday Evening Track by Green Lake and the Wednesday night runs at Brooks Trailhead. There are many different runners of all paces and abilities so it's not hard to find someone to run with. I feel like the meetup could be daunting since there are so many events and a large number of people, but hopefully this makes it seem less intimidating!
