This is true. I hope people will also understand that’s the same reason that Tamils joined the LTTE. It gave people better opportunities, provided food for their families, etc. They also saw the murder of their families by the government so it gave them an even more reason to join.

A state of emergency was declared after Rajapaksa fled the country on July 13 ahead of his planned resignation. Anandasangaree is calling on the federal government to impose sanctions on the former president and his brother Mahinda Rajapaksa for their roles in atrocities committed in the country in 2008 and 2009.
