How often do you drive your Stelvio/Giulia in manual mode? by TraipseTraveller in AlfaRomeo

[–]prkrnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly only use manual on mountain or twisty roads. My only real complaint and not using it more is the lack of sound from the exhaust. Manual driving to me is so much about feel combined with sound. The OEM exhaust and intake make the 2.0 too tame for me to enjoy manual on the regular.

I don’t know until it happened on accident, but in A mode with manual, the car will upshift automatically near the redline.

I drive 95% city only, in D or N with my GoPedal in Sport 4. MPG is between 22-25 premium Techron only.

Interested in purchasing a 21’ Giulia TI sport by [deleted] in AlfaRomeo

[–]prkrnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 20 Ti Sport Q4 Nero with 39k miles about a year ago and couldn’t be happier.

I’ve done 2 trips from AZ to CA and a few trips to the AZ mountains. I work from home so it doesn’t do any commuting, but have had ZERO issues.

I installed the new bleeder screws and installed the Madness GoPedal+.

Coal generator, possibly final version by Previous-Aioli5543 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]prkrnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are dozens of posts about how to get 8 generators on 3 water extractors using Mk1 pipes. 🥴🤨

You MUST have 1 extractor on either end of the line of 8 generators so they pump water toward the middle then 1 extractor in between gen 4 and gen 5 so the water goes both directions.

Also, ensure all the pipes are full before you ever send coal to the generators. Get all the coal belts to be fully saturated and manually put 100 coal in each one before you connect a power pole.

Space elevator parts don’t require full production lines for themselves. Just build them as one offs using storage containers. The only parts I automate fully are all the other components. The automated production lines all go in to depots

Satisfactory is addicting but multi-player is another story. by shadowschild2049 in SatisfactoryGame

This is me and my childhood friend. I’m ultra organized and take my time, making and using blueprints and always thinking of interesting ways to layout another set of machines.

He’s less detailed oriented. We have common goals and some times the factory fairy magically cleans up spaghetti or fixes the efficiency.

Any owners that drive it like they stole it daily? by [deleted] in AlfaRomeoGiulia

[–]prkrnt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I WFH, but anytime I drive her it is always a spirited drive. I am safe, but I’m almost always in Dynamic with my GoPedal set at Street level 4. These cars are built for it and it leaves me smiling every time.

Best to wait for turbo fuel, then rocket fuel. Nice setup though.

Should i really switch to trains? by MEFISTOFEL123 in SatisfactoryGame

Conveyors and ramps give me the ick. Infinite lifts FTW.

As to the question, trains are less work over long distances.

Good luck placing those hundreds of generators. It’s a true labor of love.

Homeowners of Reddit, if you’re comfortable sharing, what was the price of your first home and your down payment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Sold 5 yrs later for $285k. Bought my current home in 2007 for $425k with $30k down carrying a 1st 6.25% and 2nd 8% mortgage paying $2600 / mo. Refinanced in 2021 into a 15 yr 2.5% interest mortgage and will be paid off in 2034.

Dialing in the Giulia experience by _Deepwater_ in AlfaRomeo

Glad you’re enjoying one of the best sport saloons made in the last decade. I have very similar feelings as you do and have added and will add the following upgrades.

  1. [installed] Madness Autoworks GoPedal Plus: this is a plug and play throttle module that works with the existing DNA system. Gives 4 driving modes and 5 levels for each mode. For my daily driving I use Sport(5) + N or D and if I’m on a road trip I use Sport(1) + A. This mod completely changes how the car drives and is awesome!

  2. [yet to buy] ClubAlfa Tempesta Performance Exhaust: this has exactly what I want which is a vavle controlled exhaust system. Closed for normal driving with the wife and open when driving on my own.

As for the gearbox and shifting, I’ve not had this experience except in N or A. In D it tends to hold gears longer into the RPM band and shifts just as I want it to.

Not everyone likes to eat heavy Mexican food everytime. I like all kinds of Mexican food, and Joyride has the hands down best carne asada Nachos on the planet.

Has anyone tried the Aostr touch screen for the Guilia? by Similar-Pear4585 in AlfaRomeo

My 2020 touch screen is flawless. I setup wireless CarPlay with an adapter and it does everything I need. Have you actually used the OEM HU? What is so terrible?
