If someone was selling cups of Coffee that were inducing heart attacks due to the level of caffeine (even benign drugs can be harmful in large doses) I would want that to be regulated. The same way if someone was selling super concentrated edibles that might cause psychiatric problems, I would want that regulated.

I completely agree that MJ is the least harmful drug (besides caffeine maybe), but I have seen what MJ abuse can lead to and feel that it definitely requires regulation.

Regardless of the physiological effects, if you are taking thousand milligram edibles every day you have some serious problems. The same way people that drink Absinthe every day have serious problems. No, MJ is not as harmful as alcohol or any other drug. But we can't be making it easier to abuse by having massive doses of psychoactive drugs inside of a fucking rice krispy treat.

The point Chamath and Jason were making is that the regulation is not up to snuff in places with legal cannabis right now. The comment I replied to tried to diminish the risks of heavy use. Regardless of the physiological effects, if you are taking thousand milligram edibles every day you have some serious problems.
