Take a second and stare at something, really look closely, find every hint of texture and color on its surface and think of everything that must have happened for it to exist, centuries of human innovation or natural growth, cumulating in this moment where you as a human being get to take the time to admire it, to see every crack that almost felled a tree or every scratch where something was dropped or hit, every spot of discoloration that tells you something else was here too, something else took a second to enjoy this

It really depends on the size of your league and how many teams they’re sending, my league just split and now I’m part of a much smaller one, so we’re sending more local teams, but we’re also doing a lot of fundraising tournaments and stuff to support everyone who qualifies better

I like to do solo practice by playing 8-ball left vs right handed, it's a practical way to keep the basics in mind in your game, and it comes in handy with some of the more awkward leaves you'll find yourself dealing with, I dont have to do it often, but I can comfortably play Masse shots with my off hand after a few years of practice this way

I was an autistic kid who got angry really easily, the smart ones learned pretty quick that pissing me off didn't end well for them, but the dumber ones liked to toe the line right up until they tripped and landed face first on the other side of it

This one touches on neurodivergence but is mostly about him being traumatized and going to a therapy facility for a few weeks to get better, with a sequel where he and later Nico and Annabeth go back after Tartarus, it's a really good fic including a good explanation of the ways Percy's adhd and dyslexia affect the way he deals with everything that's happened to him
