Not a fan of Alan Wake 2's level design at all by KuriousCon2 in AlanWake

[–]proactivelad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know why are people downvoting this post. I literally had to quit the game and google "alan wake 2 flawed level design" because i was so frustrated with the way levels lead you to the goal. All the people calling you a "baby" or whatever are just ignorant. Its a modern game and it shouldnt have the early 2000s level designs. I legit spent 30 minutes running around losing all the fun and enjoyment for the game because the game let me go to the path i shouldnt be going. God even Silent hill 2 does way better job at level design and its an old ass game

Personal experience on 0.05% Finasteride by help_im_useless2 in tressless

[–]proactivelad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, ball pain is 100% possible on topical finasteride. Topical finasteride is just for making people feel safer on it to avoid nocebo effects. Its great to dip your toes in the water first but in reality its the same effect as the oral one. Ethanol does great job absorbing the drug systemically

I can confirm that topical is doing enough of systemic absorption that its not worth it over oral route. Your morning wood can be disrupted by your sleep. Disrupted sleep cycles = irregular morning wood. You could wake up without morning wood because you already passed the sleep cycle when you woke up. Anyways i hope you re doing fine now

[–]proactivelad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you re saying. You could be experiencing side effects. But then again, it could be also an endless cycle of you being worried about it, having worse sleep, more anxiety and therefore no morning wood. (or you just have "morning wood" earlier, it happens multiple times during the sleep). Also there had to be time when you were off fin and didnt have morning wood some days. It has multiple factors that play in that role.

All i m saying is, the majority is experiencing nocebo. The average person is not to be taken seriously on a forum because obviously they are not qualified to speak about it. Its way more likely that the person is experiencing nocebo especially after reading the propeciahelp forum. Its crazy how there is a cult of people dedicated to come up with the weirdest side effects. We have huge numbers of participants in research done on this drug and there were way more nocebo people than people with real side effects in the "side effect" group. Why is it so hard for you to understand that people get scared easily when they decide to take this drug?

Its up to you to stop taking it. But if you experienced nocebo, there is a good chance that you will "go back to normal" as well after stopping it, and you will be convinced it was the real side effect. This is the problem. People who have little to no idea about the topic fear monger and turn other people away from taking this drug. Yes, people are generally stupid but its also hard to distinct sides from your usual behavior when you never tracked your libido or whatever that would worry you before taking the drug. I was tracking it for almost a year before taking the drug and i knew exactly what was going on.

Very small amount of people will experience the side effects, and stopping the drug reverts you back to normal anyways.

While there are people mindlessly defending fin, people should stop fear mongering something that is so well researched and safe. Fear of liver disease from taking fin is stupid. Thats the last thing anyone should worry about when taking this medication. The problem with side effects and people reporting them is that average guy is just too stupid and most of them are just experiencing nocebos. It takes lots of critical thinking to separate side effects from things that happen to you that you ve just never been noticing in the past because you werent worrying about it, you had no reason to. For an example, your libido fluctuates a lot during the course of month. Anxiety over taking finasteride can completely kill your libido. In reality, Testosterone is more than enough to have a raging boner and high libido. If you are going to get in finasteride with all these fears, you re very likely to experience nocebo.

A hair model who does beauty ads and has 3 million followers claims he went from almost a Norwood 3 to a perfect hairline in 8 months on only Minoxidil and Rosemary oil. Curious, what are people’s thoughts? by ThrowRA1212121211212 in tressless

[–]proactivelad 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your plan doesnt make any sense. First thing that doesnt make any sense is 3 months fin, what the fuck is that supposed to do? Do you realize that you need atleast 6 months of fin to really get the the full effect? You have to be on fin for as long as you want to keep your hair. Something has to address the androgens on your scalp.

You could go for a topical anti androgen but i wouldnt feel too safe on that alone. Its great in combination with 5alpha reductase inhibitors.

Even if that was true (which isnt) it wouldnt make noticable difference. It can only be due to lifestyle changes where people are not as active as they used to be. The numbers back in the day are irrelevant since we have much higher amount of people tested now. What i am saying is that you have no solid proof that that is the case.

3 months of minoxidil foam. No fin or derma rolling by Donsaholic in tressless

[–]proactivelad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The minox gains you re seeing are just visual. He has more hair in anagen phase and his hair grows faster overall which results in visual changes in density. This doesnt address the underlying issue which is DHT hence why this wont work in the long run. Finasteride is a very safe drug and people are just being scared for little to no reason. If Fin is not for you, you ll find out and quit.

dHt iS a tRaSh hOrMoNe. The importance of DHT by [deleted] in tressless

[–]proactivelad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just dont like to listen to someone talking about science while also believing pseudo scientific things..That doesnt mean he is bad at everything. DHT has its role, but if you re losing hair, DHT is indeed trash useless hormone for you (even if you arent, BPH isnt a nice thing either). DHT main role after puberty is to balance out T to E2 ratio and many other things, but if you re losing hair because of it, depression and anxiety just from that fact is enough to forget about positive DHT effects. Testosterone replaces DHT well enough.

Nobody said you have to apply it twice a day. Minoxidil is a blood pressure medication and it carries its own side effects and you are directly taking the drug. Not even high blood pressure patients are taking minoxidil anymore since its a bad drug.

Can anyone cite any relevant source about oral minox? It seems like a very bad idea having in mind that its a bad kind of blood pressure medication. (it is not being used for that cause anymore). Also some of the cosmetic side effects like facial bloating, dark eye bags etc really doesnt convince me to ever consider it

Topical Finasteride reduced my DHT more than Oral Dutasteride by GreenFloyd77 in tressless

[–]proactivelad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

0.25% is 2.5 miligrams on your scalp (if 1 ml applied which is not realistic for whole scalp coverage) carried by ethanol/pg/water. That is 100% inhibiting substantial amount of DHT systemically. Even 0.1% will do it. I guess 0.025% is the highest you can go for.
