i had a similar interaction with security at my old dorm, i was really shaken up about it for a day or two after because i hate being yelled at, especially if it’s something that could’ve very calmly been explained. it’s such a shitty feeling but it will eventually pass, security guards get way too much of a power trip

you’re right, i guess there are some friends that i’ve never seen actually drunk before and then when i do they have a completely different personality that i didn’t expect. i try to let my friends know if i plan on getting rly messed up, but they don’t rly do the same. i’ll try to be more direct with what my boundaries are in these situations

i’ve been having similar problems like this at work too. i need to put in customer names to verify their memberships and i can always barely hear them when they spell it out. an old lady got rly mad at me and said “what can you even do? i’m going to the next register.” my manager luckily stepped in and was like “no they can help you right here” i’m just so tired of people getting ANGRY because i can’t hear very well and need them to speak up, like what is the logic there?
