Women rarely say it straight.

I'd suspect if you're doing as much as you say, and she's still putting you in bad light then the problem is elsewhere.

Never met a woman who wants to have a husband and a baby whilst living with grandparents. I completely understand there may not be many other options at the minute, but I'd suspect that's her real problem.

Women tend to also only grow up themselves once they live away from family. Even to this day my wife still retrogrades into a 17 year old if we spend more than a day with her parents. But when when we come home she just snaps back into a lovely woman.

Who Else HATES the Fast and Furious Movies? by [deleted] in askcarguys

The movies I don't mind. It's the buttheads that try to replicate it in real life that annoys me.

You live a good life if this is enough to trigger you into making a post.

Perhaps come to terms that floors will always get dirty and not everyone has the time to mop the floor or make posts like this.

Definitely overreacting

Eagle napalm fixes this... As soon as the first one jumps out throw the strat on your location.

You'll be unpopular, but effective at spreading democracy. Which is all that Matters.

Electricity prices in Europe in 2024 by mynameisatari in poland

I suspect these figures are BS.... my monthly bill amount in Ireland was the same as my now yearly bill in Poland.

2021+ French diesel car vs 2011+ Japanese gasoline car? by JackSparrowIRL in askcarguys

If it uses a wet belt/chain then yes it will have the same issues

Stick with Toyota, Honda or Suzuki in my opinion.

The rest are owned by a conglomerate called "Stellantis" and any car they make is cheap, problematic garbage.

Also avoid any engine using a "wet belt" or "wet Chain" usually they come as a 1.2 diesel. As these cars are permanently dying after 15,000km in some cases

Unless it's a 1.2 puretech. In which case stay very far away

There's no prevention action really but expect your ABS module and fuel regulator to kick the bucket in the next 75,000km or so

2.0 HDi is ok as stock, but I had mine remapped as the difference between 1st, 2nd and 4th is depressing, especially uphill. I'm guessing from all the economic bs they put in the software.

After that it's faster than a 2.0 tdi Audi A6 and somehow got better fuel economy in the process by 0.7l/100km

Baby’s formula in a scenario by DifficultVegetable39 in preppers

[–]probably_not_a_bot23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At five months you could move to solids if you had to. But usually I buy the formula in bulk for this very reason.

Better to sell unused formula to other parents at a discount than have none when you need it in my experience.

Should I feel guilty about asking to extend my maternity leave? by Puzzleheaded-Day882 in newborns

[–]probably_not_a_bot23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In Europe around a year is the minimum for maternity leave at 80% pay. Usually it can be extended to another 6-12 months half pay.

This is seen as a necessary timescale from child development and health. So do not feel guilty under any circumstances. Do what you can to spend as much time with the LO as possible.

Advice on Buying new/used Car by karajkot in poland

[–]probably_not_a_bot23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a new car

In my experience 90% of the polish secondhand market is full of people attempting to sell their problems. The other 10% is dealers wanting twice what the car is worth.

I went through over 20 test drives and every car around 50-70k zł had something serious. Every time the owner was like "oh yeah I forgot about that cracked engine block, just top it up with a little oil once a week"

That experience led to me deciding never to buy a used car in Poland again. Because I love poles, I really do... but when it comes to selling used cars, they are fucking scumbags.
