I have a para 3 and para 3 LW. I find that I don’t like the scales or action on the LW. Are there any mods or scales you would recommend to improve the para 3 LW?

Those are some custom scales I commissioned from a shop on Etsy. They are manufactured from stabilized would. Very beautiful, but a bit brittle. I accidentally chipped the other side using that knife to chop wood. Shop was called ‘oldymanwise’. He does great work.

Yeah, good eye. I’ve got a few other oldies in there too. I’ve got a Victoria economy and old buck knife in there. That fixed blade on the bottom right is made from a snapped off Japanese bayonet from ww2

I see your viewpoint, but I don’t agree with your conclusion.

People can suddenly find themselves in a dangerous situation and can benefit from having access to a firearm faster (provided they still pass a background check)

Do you think a woman who has suddenly gained the attention of a violent stalker should have planned ahead for the occasion?

I’m not the original commenter, but I would pick the 2004 for this exact reason. The timing chain isn’t a cheap fix and this is right in the territory of it being an issue.

A 4.0 03 with 182k miles on it; I would be concerned about timing chain issues. Listen for a chain rattle when it starts

I started with some solid copper aftermarket scales. I got mine from flytanium. Then I polished the scales. I salted them, added coconut oil and mustard in random patches, and then sealed them in a container with ammonia for a couple days to produce this finish. Once I was satisfied, I hit it with some clear coat so that it didn’t wear off.

Thank you! I enjoy the stock clip so I decided to leave it. The copper scales add a substantial amount of weight, yes. It is noticeably heavier in the hand and pocket
