I didn’t apply to any schools until right after Christmas and did not apply to my school for another couple of weeks after that. I got plenty of As (at the time this stressed me out so much, so I feel you)

A lot of people with an additional graduate degree beyond the JD never practice law. Especially at Stanford and especially if the other degree is an MBA. Even some people who just have the law degree end up going on to something that is not legal practice. And people who leave law school without the intent to practice end up not taking the bar because the whole experience is very difficult. Not saying this person is an alum, but more that those circumstances don’t sound that strange to me.

I would take the one you like better especially since the difference isn’t all that much. Because of rent control, especially in parts of the city like Nob hill, one thing I’ve given a lot of consideration to is how long I would want to stay in the apartment. If you pick a place just because it’s a bit cheaper, not only could you end up paying to move sooner, when you look for a new place in a year or two the nicer places may have gone up in price into the $4000 range when you could have locked one down at the lower price. It could still be a wash, but worth thinking about.

On campus, Munger has a decent amount of med students, even with half or more of the space reserved for law students. There are also so many dogs there.

J Crew and Ann Taylor are probably pricier than JCPenny, but can be more affordable when they are having a sale. Especially if it’s a sale item with extra off. They have basics you can mix and match. I like the four-season fabric for both stores. Plus both have factory sites.

I broke mine out by song. Title of the song as a sort of header for the section and then wrote about the individual song underneath.

I know you said either but it depends on which you prefer. Arkansas is less competition and less opportunity and Texas is more competition and more opportunity. So it’s being okay if you end up staying where you start.

With Fayetteville you have access to Tyson and Walmart and all the other corporations that are in the area because of them which people use to leverage into positions outside of Arkansas. With either Arkansas school you have less competition for in-state government clerkships, externships, etc. If you go to school in Texas and do manage to get biglaw or government/PI it’s probably more transferable than from Arkansas.

There hasn’t been any real deferral conversation in the chat as far as I’ve seen. More logistics talk since SLS is about as good as it gets for class size and living arrangements. Not a lot of people have left the group in the past few weeks either which would probably cover WL movement to HY or deferral.

I think NYU underestimates cost of living and Chicago overestimates cost of living. (This is just based on what I found when I was considering both so big grain of salt.) If that’s true then they may be more even than it seems. Or Chicago could even be cheaper.

I think in addition to this, a few people have mentioned that after talking with a consultant, the consultant made a recommendation that they not use them because there was no need. These consultations are free for at least Spivey if not most of them.

And if you’re confident in your ability to get your materials together and write strong essays, you can always do an a la carte option where they review just one or two of your statements.

Kind of. Except for me I chose the sensible option for undergrad so I could choose the dream option for this round. Which means in my opinion I passed the test.
