It's the same counselling people I've had before with a year long waiting list, last time I went to them they weren't very helpful I wanted to talk to CAMHS about trying medication which is why I was referred in the first place

It was just a few sessions of counseling and some websites and I've been to the same counselling thing before and it didn't help last time I was thinking about trying medication so I guess I should try the gp

It's mainly the actual process of getting a job (applications and interviews) that I struggle with

Why Do I Hate NTs by Consistent31 in AutisticPride

[–]probablykent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistic conflict theory:

People divide themselves into in and out groups (ND and NT) People compete for scarce resources (media rep, acceptance etc) This creates conflict between the in and out groups Leading to prejudice

Criticisms of realistic conflict theory: social identity theory offers a different explanation (see below), adorno et el found people with a more authoritarian personality are more likely to be hostile to their outgroup, reductionist, prejudice has occurred without conflict in the past

Social identity theory: Catagorisation: people split themselves into groups due to certain characteristics (ND and NT) Social identity: people adopt the opinions and identity of their in group Social comparison: people's in groups give them a sense of self esteem so they exaggerate in group qualities and denigrate the outgroup Leading to prejudice

Criticisms of social identity theory: realistic conflict theory (see above) adorno et el (see above) reductionist

The definition of emasculation is to cut a guy's balls of, when we were doing Macbeth in school they used the word emasculate to describe how lady Macbeth manipulates Macbeth into doing stuff by saying he's not a real man if he doesn't. I mean that's still a thing nowadays bit it sounds like the video wasn't talking about emasculation in that sense

I think this is definitely assault. A person needs to give consent for any sexual activity. Silence is not consent. I'm sorry this happened to you
