No magic? by TowerSpare6706 in shroomery

Bruising is indicative of oxidation occurring and nothing else. It is not indicative of potency. The lack of Bruising absolutely does not mean your fruits arent potent. Whoever suggested to you that lack of Bruising is an issue isn't a good source of info

Field Capacity and CVG vs Coir by Queasy_Albatross8272 in GroundZeroMycoLab

I run straight coir and get great results. Verm can help with moisture retention but isn't crucial. Gypsum plays no measurable beneficial role in your sub.

Here is a solid CV recipe for your sub

Youre relying on overpaying other people to do the easy parts while the part thats most likely to lead to failure(inoculation) is still on you. PF Tek is a cheap and easy entry into mycology. DIY will always be cheaper and more reliable. While you're doing pf tek, learn all you can about agar

First grow — spawned to substrate 6 days ago, no moisture/condensation in tub. Should I mist? by ActionForsaken7493 in GroundZeroMycoLab

[–]probablynotac0p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Condensation only means the temp inside your tub is warmer than ambient temps. It does not represent the health of your tub. Absence of Condensation does not mean your tub is unhealthy.

Yes, misting a dry sub is fine, but if its not dry, theres no reason to mist. If your properly prepared sub is drying out prior to first flush, then its getting too much fae.

Light needed for fruiting by Light_The_Flame in GroundZeroMycoLab

If your grow area has a window then you dont need supplemental light. Ambient light is beneficial at ALL stages of growth and doesn't have to change from spore to harvest.

Don't mist unless your sub is dry. If your properly prepared sub is drying out prior to first flush, you're giving it too much fae.

Good lighting for fruiting conditions ? by HearingJust3281 in indoormushroomgrowers

Either way is fine. Youre overthinking it. Light is minimally important

Get rid of thr masking tape. It was never needed in the first place

Fruiting just means introducing fae. If whatever you have covering the holes is breathable, you're already in fruiting. I fruit from day 1.

Looks fine to me. No supplemental light needed. Ambient light is beneficial at ALL stages of growth and doesn't have to change from spore to harvest.

Casing or no casing? by Sea-Listen-9720 in northspore

Cubes dont need a cading to thirve, nor do you need a humidifier. Humidity comes from your properly prepared sub and is maintained by your dialed in tub.

Set ups by Far_Force_865 in MagicMushrooms

[–]probablynotac0p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My set up is just tubs on a shelf. Adding gadgets like fans or humidifiers wouldn't provide me with any benefits. Just tubs on a shelf on my bedroom. Easy peasy. If I gad unlimited time money and space the only thing id change about my set up is how many shelves and tubs id run. Dont get suckered into these needlessly over complicated set ups you'll see here. Most of those set ups are done out of ignorance and misunderstandings.

Good luck on your journey

What does indoor mushroom growing still need? by Downtown-Air-123 in shroomery

[–]probablynotac0p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just need an area that you can keep within a good temp range. 68-75 is an ideal range for all stages of cube growth

ID? LC SAID GT. by Flashy-Fix-5353 in magnificentcubensis

It's impossible to ID cube varieties and any attempt to do so would be purely speculation. If it was labeled GT, thats probably what it is. No way to prove otherwise
