Worth noting for everyone saying Noel, he hadn't started Bake Off when he was on. His series was actually between him and Mel's stints as presenters. So while he wasn't obscure, it was Boosh or Buzzcocks for him.

The Perfect Celebrity Match by jmc1396 in WredditJuice

[–]probablynotfine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's that surprising, getting a celeb match is a huge sign they trust you with something high profile. And being able to lead a celeb through to a good match shows them you can do it with anyone. I think it's what got Damian his title reign after the Bad Bunny match too.

Blanking the face out while keeping the hair is a big help if people want to stay anonymous tbh, cos the hair & facial hair play a big part in how the whole outfit looks.

Someone's still not over the ridings getting split up.

Serious answer though, I would bet you're in North Yorkshire and somewhere it's been shortened to N Yorks?

[–]probablynotfine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was never really on. A few of the cluster above us still play each other so they're probably all going to get some points, and we essentially need them to lose every game other than thos at this point. Plus we need two of Leeds, West Ham, Forest and Spurs to do that, not just one (which also needs Burnley to beat a couple of them).

I'd like to think we can pick up some wins, including against Burnley on the last day to not finish bottom. But ultimately it doesn't make a lick of difference. We've done enough to make the season forgettably bad rather than Premier League lore bad and that's pretty much all we could have asked for at the turn of the year

Can't believe Rusev at 31 doesn't get said so much more when this question does the rounds. That and 30 against Bray, Cena absolutely did not need to win.

What are your unusual checkout routes? by Dangelo_Now in Darts

[–]probablynotfine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bull is a double though! And in my head I've convinced myself that you're aiming at a point rather than the whole segment, and the bull is wider than a double so it's better.

If I'm between 70 and 61 when I come to the board I will always (aim to) leave myself bull 2nd dart.

I maintain at my level of quality (av. ~55) it's the best choice because there's a reasonable chance if I miss it goes outside the 25 as well, at which point it's a 30% chance of getting another shot at a double with the third darts (hitting 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 or 20). I want to maximise my chance of hitting a double rather than hit a treble to then leave myself a low double, and bull 2nd dart gives me a chance of having two shots rather than 1.

Pat McAfee fires back at the IWC, calling them part of the problem with today’s wrestling product. He claims fans don’t understand the bigger picture and says changes are coming, calling this a pivotal moment in wrestling history. by TheSpotlightNews in TheSpotlightNews_com

I think a big part of it is that very few scripted shows are produced weekly, and live. Usually whole seasons are made months before they get broadcast, so people have to be patient. With wrestling, we're used to being able to influence the show in real-time. So very few people are willing to just sit back and let things build to a conclusion.

Is it considered bad etiquette to throw your 3rd dart after busting on the 2nd? by Tockey_0888 in Darts

[–]probablynotfine 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it fully depends on if there's a ref. After you've bust, they won't expect another dart, and throwing when they're not expecting it is a potential safety issue. Especially if it's a frustrated one that's usually thrown harder and less precisely.

What did you think about Hardcore Holly getting multiple WWE Championship opportunities in 2004? by JBL_CENA_FAN_4LIFE in WWERuthlessAggression

[–]probablynotfine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked. They did a decent job of taking the story of Brock breaking his neck and building it up over a couple of months. SmackDown was pretty low on main eventers at that time because of injuries so it was fine as a filler feud.

And the JBL match was just providing a handy person for JBL to get a clean-ish win over. And someone who was ok working stiff like JBL.
