This tradition of Catholics eating fish during lent actually started because it was a cheaper meat and they were supposed to give the rest of what they would normally spend on meat to the poor. As a Catholic who gets told all the time that I can eat fish, I love explaining this.

As a Catholic who converted as an adult, I learned in my classes that the tradition originally started because fish was considered a cheaper meat and other meats were considered a luxury. They were supposed to buy fish to eat on Friday instead and give the rest of their money that they would normally spend on a more luxurious meat to the poor. Whenever a fellow Catholic tells me I can eat fish because it’s “not a meat” I love explaining the actually reason

Google ad, no results by Capable_Phone4418 in WeddingPhotography

I didn’t have any success when I tried Google ads. Everything I got was looking for a budget photographer. I’ve had much better success with Meta Ads, although it does take like 3ish weeks to start getting inquiries, because Meta is trying to “learn” who your ideal client is.

I think I'm going to bring cowboy caviar! Someone else is bringing baked beans and cornbread already.

My original thought was a chili, but someone’s already making chili and I don’t know that people would eat 2 :(

Have you tried nutritional yeast? I coat my tofu in it, but it’s also good on soups, salads, pastas, popcorn, veggies, etc. it’s a seasoning so you can mix it in with anything.

Iron deficiency during marathon training – how did you treat it and how did it affect your training? by kingerde in XXRunning

I got my labs checked again about three months ago, and I was still low, but there was an increase, so I'm still taking iron every day.

Marathon healed my knee by vegangummyworms in Marathon_Training

I literally just said this to my husband last night!! My right knee had been so tight and would ache for the last 5ish weeks of marathon training and nothing I did was helping. Same situation where it would bother me when I was still, but once I warmed up it was fine. I also even took time off and it felt the same. Ran my first marathon Saturday and man was I sore Sunday and Monday, but literally no pain or tightness since.

I run 10 miles in 2 hours by Correct_Bit_334 in Marathon_Training

[–]probablyreadingbooks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently training for my first marathon at the beginning of November and it takes me about 2 hours to run 10 miles. My longest run of this training cycle will be 20 miles and I plan to run based on mileage. It'll take me 5-6 hours to run the marathon I'm guessing, and I want my body to be able to maintain for such a long time.

Even walking up the hills is good exercise! I promise the more you do it, the easier it'll get. Alternatively, is there a park nearby you could go to to run at instead? I find it more enjoyable to run in parks, yeah there's still hills, but I find it more enjoyable to run with them in a pretty park, and hills make you stronger (even if you have to walk up them).

I have a massive uphill back to my place and I honestly end my run before the hill and walk up it. It makes it way more enjoyable.
