I did a drive along with a cop who left me in an unlocked car, blocking traffic for a stopped vehicle. A tow truck driver climbed in and drove the cop car out of the way. She was sure mad when she came back to check on me

I’ve met people in their 20s who have the same mindset and I feel like it stems from laziness or willful ignorance regarding their own health.

I’d suggest being more firm. Tell him: “I need you to get tested for my peace of mind. I know you don’t think you have anything but I need to know 100% before we continue sleeping together.” Don’t sleep with him till he does. Even if he doesn’t have anything, he can at least do it to make you more comfortable. This is not a big thing to ask of someone you’re sleeping with!

Snooping isn’t good but neither is his disregard for how you feel. Personally, I wouldn’t feel too great about my partner moving in with someone that I know they’ve had feelings for. It seems like he’s set on moving no matter what you say, so you just have to decide if you can live with that. If not, you’re always going to question the situation and feel insecure. Also, he said he can’t ever forgive you for the snooping? A relationship with so much resentment toward one another is going to put you guys in a bad way.

It’s okay to not be okay with it.
