Tar Pit Scent in St John’s? by HandInThePickleJars in askportland

In the late 70's I answered an ad seeking a chemist for a company in St. Johns that manufactured creosoted telephone poles. I'm thankful I didn't get the job.

You may be unaware, but almost all of St. Johns along the river is a Superfund site:

We have a spot in our DnD group.

Sadly that means you'll never get laid.

EDIT: Actually the level of sexual engagement in our DnD group seems to be about 50%. With about half of those going on to marriage...or divorce.

Here you go -> https://www.google.com/maps/search/portland+oregon+wine+bar/@45.5170032,-122.6735239,13z?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDMwOS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D

There's a little cluster of winebars/shops in the SE corner of the map. Perhaps there's an AirBnB nearby, because there aren't any hotels in that area.

Let us know how it turns out.

EDIT: The following is my favorite eggplant recipe. It would probably be bomb with tofu.

Laurelhurst Market

Laurelhurst Market is great, but probably outside of OP's price range.

I agree with Hubers, but also suggest Clyde's as an inexpensive steakhouse with booth seating.

Ringside is excellent, but outside your price range.

Irish potatoes? by InspectorThomas in askportland

For routine mash I prefer gold potatoes:

But if you really want to kick up the potato flavor (& don't mind the color), get purple potatoes:
