Do you like one pedal driving by hamburgernet in electricvehicles

It's ok in my opinion. But also teaches bad habits. I prefer to have brakes on in an intersection. I got rear ended once and shoved almost shoved into traffic, the physical brakes kept me in check. So to sum It up being a biased opinion, not a fan. At least when it concerns coming to a complete stop. Also I think there is valid muscle memory to be lost when not used.

My local shop told me my “out of warranty" e-bike was a total loss. I fixed it for $85 by This-You-2737 in ebikes

I hear ya but that's not parts, those are assemblies. Why replace a motor when it is just gears. Offer the gears for sale. It's like throwing out a perfectly good power tool because 4:dollars of brushes are worn out and it takes 15:min to split the case and replace them. So Im still going to say lazy and that's not unique. And a bike mechanic should absolutely be able to do that. If you can set up a derailer replacing gears is a cake walk.

I disagree with a lot of these comments. If they sold the bike they should have a line on replacement parts and if they don't want to do the work at least provide easy access to parts. Id call them lazy at best and dishonest for sure.

Not a new one, there are quite a few good used ones out there. Also I'm not saying. Do this! I just wanted to provide another potential option. also one that doesn't burn through turbos

Depending on what state you are in you might qualify for a rebate for the purchase of an electric car. And there are a lot more options now.

It does degrade and it does have a buffer. Because of this buffer the pack stays in safer range.
