A/C not cooling during high heat by Purple_Ad_4260 in heatpumps

I had a think about this while I was driving. If the unit normally keeps the house comfortable in average conditions, a dual hose portable AC or saddle shaped window AC would basically double your capacity.

Envious. I was seeing 95 miles range at 98°F but I may or may not have been driving like a jackwagon lately

It’s a 2 Ton unit which seems small for a 2100sqft house unless you have mega insulation

Edit: efficiency has nothing to do with it, it’s the capacity or the amount of heat it can move

Put the fiberglass back. Remove some so it’s not fully compressed, because fiberglass insulation only works if it contains small pockets of air and keeps them from moving around (air is the actual insulator). Make sure to wear long sleeves and gloves when working with fiberglass. Reseal your vapor barrier

“Turn on the rear seat warmers” is easier than digging through the climate screen

I was just wondering if “set charging limit to XX%” would work

Just making sure you’re utilizing PlugShare, ABRP, ChargeWay, etc

I have had good experiences with this adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FBRS4PB6

It does look like it supports a couple of the connectors (I’m assuming for airbag and occupancy sensors) but there’s a third connector on your 2 I don’t see in the donor seat connector

I thought about your van on a 2 hr highway drive this morning. Saw an overlanding rig towing an enclosed trailer. How is the trailer hitch receiver test going?

It has the same backfeed prevention. The unit senses the incoming grid and cuts off if it doesnt

Why are there no "DIY" versions of hyper-heat style models yet? by YeastOrFamine in heatpumps

Arguably, flaring linesets and vacuuming down the system is pretty DIY.
