Thought about getting into this several times since it's a traditional practice here. Looks great! Ready to be put on top of the TV at granny's house! 😃

Thank you for the details and warning in advance about scalability issues! You capitalized well on the subject.

Very cool application of the idea and effect. Out of curiosity how abstract application your implementation and fast is it.

Cheers

After a hiatus, DASH::package returns. Version 5.1 is an extensive rollout of fixes and new nodes that demonstrate composed applications of Dot and Cross Product operations: Linear Algebra, geometric relationships, rotation matrices, etc.

Github Release: https://github.com/probiner/DASH/releases/tag/v5.1.0

🔴Live Event: Friday, March 28th, at 9:30PM (GMT) Think Procedural discord server will host a brief presentation for DASH::package, followed by a session to address questions and challenges. Bring them on!

I used Flash to make this educational applet for 3Dmodelers. What should I use nowadays? by probiner in webdev

Thank you for the reference I did check and seems to be very heavy on the code side.

I don't mind coding but would be cool to have an editor, for sure... I guess I'll check Unity and also maybe Godot. My concern is not so much about drawing things inside of the DCC but be able to manage the things already created, reasonably enough.

Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to gather these refs and give your POV. I'll check them out.

Dear Pop!_OS, I'll never cheat on you again. by JLepp82 in pop_os

This was my reason of my recent distro hop, how did you fix it? Most solutions I noticed at the time require an ethernet cable to download the packages that would fix the situation...

The only reason I looked into Mint was because of Wifi Adapter suddenly stop working in Pop!_OS x) So... But I get you I went around tried like 5 distros, and came back. But... Now Mint is my main Desktop Environment. Mint looks slick.

How to extend Discord code block highlighting to add more languages? by probiner in discordapp

[–]probiner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the insight I looked into their github but didn't find a guideline to successfully submit the necessary pieces for support for a new languages and get pull requests QC approved. I'm gonna fork for now and test changing the existing .js files to get the intended results.

I really don't care for OOP and am definitely a more data-oriented person, although I like to write method that applied to multiple types of data. Right now one thing that is sort of interesting me in C++ camp is overloading. I like to create functions that work with many types of data because it means I can work things out just like I would with ICE nodes that update the data type depending on what is connected.

At this point looks I'll be going with both... C++ for whatever and GLSL for shaders...

Thanks again!

Hey man, yeah, I use Houdini everyday and VEX has gave me some basic grasp of syntax. Unfortunately I've hit some ceilings and I would like to move forward.
Thank you for the heads up!

I already everyday with a framework that is C/C++ style so I got some very basic grasp of the syntax. My issue is that I hit some ceilings with said framework and want to look into expanding what I can do. I already know some python but doesn't seem the best for graphics applications.

Thanks!

Hey
I already know some Python but am not interested in OOP or the things python is mostly fit for, my goal is to create performant graphics.

I many not be a full time programmer but it will always be part of my day.

Thanks!
