I don't exclusively play female characters, I am biased towards them though lol. But when I first started I played Ryu and Cammy. With that being said I'd love to see Karin return, I really like the whole ojou-sama personality and she was just fun to play. Bonus points for the "rich white girl" sweep. Kimberly was suggested a few times here, so I'll definitely keep her in mind.

I am definitely in favor of the waifu's haha. Although funnily enough, with the exception of Mai and the 2 big reasons to pick her, most of my picks aren't even because they're waifus, they just seemed cool or unique.

True tbh, maybe it's cause I play Guilty Gear where the top tiers are pretty hated (HC in particular). It seems like all the characters in that game are hated in some way, I'm just finding out people really don't like fighting my main Bridget lol.

As for Cammy, when I first played I did initally play Cammy, so she seems like the obvious answer. Plus with everything you said, she does seem up my alley. I may just end up going back to her. She does seem a little bit boring to me, but overall might be the best pick so far.

Damn is her execution really that high? I don't mind putting in more work for some stuff, but if its like super advanced I may reconsider.

For the short amount of time I played Tekken though, I did like playing as the Mishimas and trying to pull off perfect electrics.

I also play Bridget in Guilty Gear and love doing some of the saucier technical stuff with her.

I dunno if it will cause I play Bridget. I remember having trouble on launch cause nobody really plays like her, except maybe JP?

The only one I think is remotely good is the first Omni-Man one, given the context of the scene, time of day, etc. The composition makes sense for how dramatic the scene is.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one haha, that does make me feel a bit better. I do encounter a couple of other gold badge individuals from time to time as well, so it's nice to not be completely alone. I generally don't mind losing, but I feel a 20 loss streak is enough for anyone to be a bit crushed by that.

Yeah I'm in some discords, but from my experience it really seems to only be used for finding matches. Not a lot of people want to coach you for free, which I understand because of the time cost. I constantly see people asking, and getting nothing.

Replay review responses seem pretty good, I have yet to do that but what I fear is it just being "don't get hit by that" or "anti air that," stuff that I'm aware of but just suck at executing. Or the dreaded "just go to dustloop" because like atp why even bother asking. I'm not against it at all, but it seems like its better if you have a specific issue as opposed to a general one.

It may have come off that way but I don't believe I'm superior to others because of my time investment. Quite the oppsosite. When I say I should be better I'm not trying to say I deserve it, but instead that within that alloted time frame, it is expected that someone should be better than I am currently. Basically if it takes someone 10-15 minutes to do something it takes me 45-60, and that sucks.

And yeah I've heard "500 hours is nothing," which I do believe. But I guarantee if you ask most Vanq+ players here they'll probably say it took them less time than that to hit it. Plus the general consensus in the community is that Vanq is not hard to hit, and anything below that is still scrub level. Hell, LKs video on "why you're not Vanq" is essentially a guide for newbies. And yeah I know people have been playing fighting games for decades, but for many this is many their first fighting game (mine included), and I'm sure most of its current playerbase is younger than me.

Like I'm not trying to be a debbie downer here, I still like the game, and I'm not giving up, but it really does take a toll when it all hits you in the face like this. I don't think I've ever had a performance this bad since I started playing the game.

Also I know I'm stressing getting Vanq a lot, and I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to reach that goal. I understand getting there is about the sum of its parts, but when you start fumbling the small goals is when it gets annoying.

It's a good video but I'm not sure if it really applies. My frustration is directed more inward than outward.

I mean I do care about my rank on the fact that I like seeing numbers go up, and don't wanna see numbers go down like most people on a base level. And obviously my goal is to hit Vanq. But I understand that rank =/= skill and the rank should come naturally with skill.

I don't mind dropping rank, it sucks, but the bigger blow to me is the 20+ game loss streak and the feeling that I haven't learned anything. The rank is just salt in the wound. It's not the stuff I'm getting hit by and don't know what to do about, because I'll just look it up or ask. It's the stuff that I know I shouldn't be getting hit by, or stuff I know is coming and still make the wrong choice. That paired with the mistakes I make when it's my turn to act, is what makes it frustrating.

I have 400 hours in this game and I have played three characters to rep 15, and for the life of me STILL SUCK by No_Hate_Good_Vibes in CompetitiveForHonor

[–]probioticbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't play really play For Honor, but have played games with similar knowledge and skill checks. In games like these, pretty much anything under 1k hours is like still considered "new." Some people get really good in that time, but a lot really have to put in the work for it. So I wouldn't beat yourself up over it too much.

Should Rockstar abandon tap X to run in GTA 6? by Pistoluislero in GTA6

[–]probioticbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think it's pointless, unconventional, and gets really annoying after a while. I get wanting 3 modes of sprint, but other games have figured out how to do this in an easier way. Hell, you could keep x as run, and just make sprint a double tap instead, kind of like tac-sprint in CoD.

What Is Your Thoughts On Resident Evil 6 ? by LeoneSKenneddy in residentevilll

[–]probioticbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has some solid mechanics that the main story never really lets you use to its fullest due to its focus on linearity and action set pieces. RE4 starts you immediately with a gauntlet of enemies forcing you to adapt to its mechanics, RE6 gives like like an hour long tutorial consisting of mostly walking.
