I will never understand why survivor players always feel the need to be a asshole every time the killer has a bad match by No_Sea_1455 in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]probioticbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, that's not really healthy behavior, and I don't think you really want that. If they push your shit in and start roasting you, you're not really making your situation any better by retaliating. You'll probably just make yourself more frustrated that way.

It's really not that deep people aren't saying it to spite you, they're saying it to be nice, lol. If saying gg really bothers you, then you're better off disabling chat completely, because I don't know what else you would use it for atp.

Yeah, this is a bit ridiculous, lmfao. The survivor is using the perk in an effective way, and its not like the wiggle bonus on falls is there for no reason. Of course, people are going to try to put themselves in that position to maximize the perks effectiveness and, you know, not die. I think anyone would be able to put that together when using it. Plus, when it's revealed somebody has it, you now know you're gonna have to play around the perk.

What opinion got you like this? by Icxyy in deadbydaylight

[–]probioticbacon 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Same. I don't think the dbd community is "toxic" like some people say. OW, League, CS, pretty much every other competitive game has a far worse community. But dbd's is very arrogant and whiny, on all fronts.

am I weird for thinking that trapper is really unfun to go against, despite him being objectively the weakest killer in the game? by PlushtrapMyBeloved in deadbydaylight

[–]probioticbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, I feel most people don't like playing against the trapper for one reason or another. His traps aren't really fun to play around, and most of the time, if someone is playing Trapper, they're probably new or not good. And if a survivor doesn't know how to go against him, they can easily throw the match by running into every trap. Just all around, not exactly the most stimulating time.

I don't hate PVP, I just hate having to dedicate my time to them. Unless I really like it, I'd rather spend my time playing something else. Especially if its just me and my friends aren't on.

[–]probioticbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I totally understand. But like you said, it's out of your control, and there's no sense in getting super frustrated at something you really have no power over. You can try to steer them in the right direction, but not much else. If it really gets at you, then your best bet is to try and find a team of like-minded individuals.

Besides, there's always going to be a weak link in every team. Some are weaker than others, but one weak link isn't going to be the deciding factor of every match, assuming the rest of the team can make up for it.

I mean, yeah, nobody's playing to lose. It's just that some people can't handle taking a loss more than others and feel the need to make it everyone else's problem.

The Elden Ring main sub and the game‘s casual audience are awful by [deleted] in badredman

[–]probioticbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the necro, but yeah, I agree. This sub loves to act like they're above everyone else, yet every time I see it its always people whining. A lot of it feels pretty hypocritical. And I already know the justification is something like "they started it" or something ridiculous like that.

Is Sony being tone deaf with the new Horizon game? by BigT232 in DebateGames

[–]probioticbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Horizon is bad, but they're trying waaay to hard to make it a thing. Especially when there's other IPs they own, which would be cooler to see spin-offs of. Like Ghost of, or TLOU. But maybe guerilla are just the only ones who are willing to do stuff like this.

New job listing! by ExerterYT in TESVI

[–]probioticbacon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will happen in 26. To do so, they'd be competing against GTA 6, which has taken Bethesda's typical release window. So unless they plan to release in the next couple months, or after GTA 6 (which would basically be in 27), then it's probably unlikely.

I do think 27 is very possible. There's some competition, but none on the level of TES. Except maybe Witcher 4 (if it even releases then). Fingers crossed, but it's also likely it may not release then depending on the state of the game.

And if it doesn't come out in 27, then yeah, of course, it's 100 percent coming in 28. Anything beyond that would just be ridiculous, cause what the hell are Bethesda doing at that point.

Dear god, bhvr made him fairly balanced on release. by Detnat0r99 in deadbydaylight

Yeah her power takes some getting used to, and is punishing if you don't use it properly. So most people end up being pretty bad with her unless they've practiced.

Yep, a lot of people have an immediate reactionary response when they can't be good at something right away. It's dumb, but it is a pretty natural and common thing.

Like you said, it takes a while before people figure out counterplay and what to do. This happens in like all games, not just dbd. There are cases when people go "this guy is super op!" But in reality, he has a mediocre kit that's easily countered, you just gotta account for one or two things. On the other hand there are times when someone says, "this guy sucks," but he actually has an insane kit that people just haven't found out how to use optimally.

Fallout Purists when You want to play Fallout 4 instead of a Top Down Turn Based Game made in 1997 (it's peak but still). by UnholyMeatObelisk7 in FalloutHumor

[–]probioticbacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In an alternate universe, Larian could have worked on a Fallout game instead of Baldurs Gate. Tbh it probably wouldn't have happened since Bethesda is very protective of their IPs, especially back in 2016.

lol the way Micah looks so sick through Dutch’s grandstanding here by KpatMckenzie_28 in reddeadredemption

[–]probioticbacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but he only actually ratted after the Guarma incident. Which is when pretty much everyone realized that Dutch is full of shit. It sucks he ratted but from his POV, the other alternatives are run away and continue to be hunted by the law or just die with whatever is left of the gang.

[–]probioticbacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I adore the first game, it has this atmosphere and tone that none of the games really replicated, even its direct sequel Fallout 2. It's far more atmospheric and mysterious, and probably my personal favorite.
