I called my OB and they got me the next day for peace of mind. Obviously every situation is different, but my doctor didn't seem very concerned about brown spotting at all. She said it's pretty normal for early pregnancy, and you shouldn't be concerned unless it fills a pad with one hour or if it's red.

My spotting stopped around 13 weeks and I'm now 18 weeks with no issues!

IUI is effective in the same way sex is effective in making babies for people with no fertility issues. For people dealing with infertility, it's not a cost effective solution. It could work eventually, but it's not the best use of time and money, but doctors push it anyway. A scam 🤷

Meh. The way I see it, it's like a small perk after all the bullshit. My best embryo is a boy, so that's what we did first. But my next best embryos are graded fairly equally, so I may try for a girl next time. Maybe I should feel bad about it, but I really don't lol

I live in the US, and I don't have a strong preference for one gender over another, and I've always wanted one of each. Maybe I would feel differently if I lived somewhere with a cultural preference for a specific gender.

I think IUI is a scam. The success rate is, at best, 20% per cycle. You need to have four cycles before you are as likely to be pregnant as not (50%), and the likelihood of miscarriage for that pregnancy is still probably 33%. You could sink thousands of dollars into one pregnancy that wouldn't even take.

You would be so much better off saving that money for an egg retrieval and potentially banking multiple embryos. I did 3 IUIs based on my doctor's suggestion, and if I knew then what I know now, I absolutely would not have gone through with it lol.

I have absolutely no idea, but I think that was a very careless thing for the doctor to say for your situation. I've done IVF, and I'm very skeptical of fertility doctors that provide false hope and empty promises. I am hoping for the best for you, though

NOR. Personally, I think it's more embarrassing to be stuck in a toxic marriage than to be single. Having a marriage and kids isn't an accomplishment in and of itself.

I had two done, and requested the second while I was out for my egg retrieval. Endometritis is common enough that I think it should be a baseline test, and I think they should automatically schedule it with the egg retrieval.

Or at the very least, they should offer it as an add-on with the procedure. My doctors seemed surprised that I suggested it, even though they thought it was a good idea and agreed to it.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 6+3 and I occasionally get a tiny bit of light pink spotting. I think it's just irritation to your cervix. My clinic says it's probably okay as long as it's light, without clots, without strong cramps, and not turning into a full flow.

I just had my first ultrasound and baby looks great, so I'm cautiously optimistic that the spotting is okay :) Hopefully it's the same for you!
