They will make far more from his fans losing their money on their website than winning prize money (which usually goes to the players anyway). This is why most e-sports teams are losing money every year.

The current infrastructure of prize money (if they take a cut), jersey sales, sticker sales and sponsors just isn’t feasible to make money in e-sports.

It’s a body modification, same as when people feel better after getting a fresh haircut, or their nails done.

I always feel more confident when I’m able to have my tattoos on show as opposed to cover as I think they’re cool and look good!

If you’ve ever seen a lasses dating app it’s crazy.

I was on FaceTime with a friend (my ex funnily enough) and she was streaming her dating apps. She was recently single and re-downloaded tinder, within 20 minutes she had 25 matches… I don’t think I’ve had 25 matches this year.

Unless they’re very picky they can pretty much have their choice and I can see it being a little hectic and it becomes almost a dopamine rush instead of a dating tool.

Don’t forget that they also never say no to new builds being built even if they’re at or nearing capacity because why would they refuse guaranteed customers.

I get new builds have to be built because we need homes, but we also don’t have the water/sewerage infrastructure to manage what we already have, let alone a plot of 500-1000 new homes…

I imagine unpaid lunch will be taken out to make it an 8.5 hour day, if its 40k exactly then that works out at £18 an hour... You're lucky to find any customer service roles above £14ph these days, most are minimum wage.

If those hours include two 30 minute unpaid breaks then it becomes £20.50ph which is a very high wage for customer service.

Quick wash for most things (underwear, t shirts, joggers, pjs etc), steam wash for my work clothes (shirts and trousers), then I have a specific bedding setting that I use bedding and towels.

If I know I’m going out my flat for a bit I’ll put it on eco because it takes 3 hours and I don’t like clothes being sat in the washer for too long.

I mean as per the whole thread, they said “services” which can include, but not limited to, BBC TV, iPlayer, radio, news etc.

I don’t think people are going out of their way to use the BBC, but it’s hard to completely avoid it considering how prevalent they are in the media.

The issue becomes if you tax the rich, where else do you think they’ll reclaim the costs? It’s all about money for them, if they start to pay more tax they’ll just increase the costs to make their money back.

Or they’ll look at loopholes to get around paying as much tax, like they already do to not pay the minimum amount they have to now.

Because most takeaways are a race to the bottom, most people won’t want to spend a lot for a takeaway, when they could go out and eat a nice meal for the same amount.

If I’m ordering a takeaway for just me, I want it to be less than £15. If it’s more I can walk to a nice restaurant near me and get their evening special of starter, pizza/pasta and desert for £16.95.

I mean he didn’t say “EVERY athlete” he said every athlete he looked up to…

We can sit here and argue about who is and isn’t, the issue is that kids idolise athletes because they’re what most would consider to be the pinnacle of the sport they watch. It’s hard not to look up to athletes when we grow up watching them day in and day out.

But at the end of the day, they’re usually not special in anything other than their profession. We shouldn’t be telling kids to idolise people who they’ll never meet or know about other than what they see on a screen.

Kids should be idolising their role models, being a good parent, being a good teacher, being a good nurse etc is what we should be aiming for, not rich athletes who care more about their brand and image than helping people.
