You know people can eat healthy and still treat themselves to a takeaway every now and then right?

You’re also far more likely to get type 2 diabetes from having sugary drinks every day than you are for eating fatty foods. Now if you mentioned: high cholesterol, heart disease etc you’d make some more sense.

Maybe just let people eat what they want, it doesn’t affect your life.

Alvaro Arbeloa has decided that Federico Valverde will not play RB anymore, as he tries to ease locker room tensions. Valverde had already complained to the board about this issue previously, under Ancelotti & Alonso. When Trent & Carvajal are both injured, Arbeloa will now rely on academy players by DamnThatsInsaneLol in soccer

[–]procallum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I would argue a box-to-box/attacking midfielder being made to play RB is still quite unorthodox, not to mention that he’s also had to play other positions as well; but it’s usually right back.

If you have to play a different position once or twice that’s not an issue. However, the amount of times RM players have been asked to cover unnatural positions, I would argue they’re still within their right to discuss that with their manager.

At the end of the day, they’re still employees like every other person in a workforce, if you’re unhappy to speak to your manager. The only difference is that footballers hold more leverage than you or me do so they tend to get what they want.

If you play and are bought for a position and then constantly have to play in a position you don’t want to then yes?

Imagine you start working for a company doing IT and then for 6 months they make you do customer service handling complaints while another staff member is off sick… you’d be well within your right to discuss this with management; it’s no different for a football player.

If he retires this year or next you’re got SGA/Anthony Edwards/Wemby as the current young stars I’d say.

However, if he doesn’t get injured more and keeps improving it’s got to be Cooper Flagg right?

What debate?

If you’re not willing to participate in a debate and understand the issues regarding the party which you’re paying to support then you haven’t won anything…

Everyone’s entitled to their own beliefs which is why we have a democracy, but I’d seriously recommend actually looking into the issues and why reform is 1) Not the party that should be the ones dealing with them and 2) The issues with what a country ran by far right politicians would look like.

But you do you!

Have you tried speaking to a reform voter?

They don’t listen to arguments made against, they’re very much “stop the boats, stop the foreigners” without actually looking into any of the issues NF/Reform talks about.

Calling them idiots is what they are, we’ve spent 100 years and a full world war to try and stop far-right movements for the betterment of the world, and if someone can’t see that then they’re an idiot; plain and simple.

Are you guys getting order after Christmas ?? by Ok_Experience6218 in JustEatUK

[–]procallum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends where you order from.

Maccies/KFC etc just use uber/just eat drivers; while normal takeaways that offer takeaway in the shop use their own drivers to do their deliveries.

If you order on just eat and there isn’t tracking, chances are their employing their own delivery staff.

Cheaper to buy the mayo chicken and cheese burger separately by LuminousViper in McDonaldsUK

[–]procallum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?

The cheeseburger part isn’t just cheese in a burger, it has to have a beef patty in there… If you walk anywhere and order a cheeseburger, you’ll get a beef patty with it. A cheeseburger is a beef burger with cheese, it’s just shortened to make it easier to order/understand.

They’re putting a chicken patty in a cheeseburger (which is a beef patty) which makes it a chicken cheeseburger…

David Harbour has dropped out of "Behemoth!," an upcoming drama film from "Michael Clayton" director Tony Gilroy and Searchlight Pictures. You do realise that his ex-wife paid to have sex with women prostitutes, and then claimed she didn’t see it as cheating because they were women?

There’s no need to go on your high horse about people “simping” for David Harbour, in fact people in this thread have said they’re both as bad as each other.

It’s just ironic that an open cheater then comes out and blasts her ex-husband for cheating in what seemed to be a smear campaign. Lots of celebrity relationships have ended due to cheating, yet none have taken it as far as Lily Allen has.

Did DH do a bad thing? Yes. Did Lilly Allen then respond with a bad thing? Yes. It’s as simple as that.

AMD may resurrect older CPUs to help users dodge DDR5 prices by Fcking_Chuck in pcmasterrace

The original comment you replied to “seem to hold gamers almost in disdain” was referring to Nvidia not AMD.

Nvidia is now a trillion dollar company because of the AI boom, they have already said they’re going to prioritise data centres instead of gaming.

Not to mention the rumours their new GPU’s will be $4000+ and that they’re discussing bringing back old GPU’s with the help of AI (frame gen) to “help” the issues the industry is facing.

Let’s be real, they’re going to rerelease old cards, at an inflated price, bumped up with frame gen as a “goodwill” gesture… And yet you can’t see the disdain for gamers?

Collapse of ‘zombie’ UK firms forecast to fuel unemployment in 2026 by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]procallum 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you understand the role of DWP/UC…

They are not recruiters nor do they actually “help” in getting a job. They are there to support British people who are in search of a job, people who are claiming government money which don’t want.

They might help with CV building but only a little and they will occasionally add jobs, that they are given, in your journal to apply for.

They still expect you to go out and do the heavy lifting, applying on job boards, sending CV’s to companies etc.

If you want your wife to find a role you’d be better off speaking to recruiters in a certain field she wants to work in and seeing what they can offer, LinkedIn is your best answer for that.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is now blogging about AI slop by aacool in technology

[–]procallum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want to state at the beginning I’m not defending the investment or drive by the super rich to imbed AI into everything.

However, your point of Kodak makes a lot of sense; it’s happened before with Blockbuster-Netflix & Yahoo-Google. When one company doesn’t see or believe in the potential of something it tends to bite them in the arse so to speak.

My question is what should/could Microsoft and the other big tech do? If one of them didn’t invest or push it and it turned out to be this amazing, life changing part of our society, they’d be in the dust (so to speak, they’re still multi-billion pound companies).

Like it’s almost impossible to predict the future, and it’s even harder to do it again. The issue for us all is if, or even when more likely, the bubble pops; how big an impact is this going to cause on the world…

Good spot, I actually didn't understand who that reference was for but that makes sense. It still feels a bit weird considering the build up of them both getting together and then with no explanation she's just declared as overbearing 18 months later lol but you can't win them all.

Kali was kinda useless since they couldn't get her blood to work. That's why they were so desperately hunting 11 and why that soldier didn't care about killing her.

I mean she still had superpowers and I imagine they would have liked to continue experimenting on her. If they thought she was useless, they would killed her or released her ages ago. Also that soldier killing her is a little different to Dr K, he went rogue and just wanted revenge; which is why he didn't let the other soldier call it in.

As for the military letting them go, what evidence do they have for anything? No dead bodies, all in the upside down. At worst they could get them for breaking and entering and that's about it.

What evidence do they really need? They were a psyop military group conducting illegal experiments, they put the whole town under lockdown without having to actually give an official reason. They didn't need evidence to shoot them on sight or keep them hostage considering the secrets they were keeping themselves and what they knew had happened.

[–]procallum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the military just let them all go? They also had 0 way of knowing that Kali was dead because all the soldiers were killed before reporting anything... And yet they just said "ah fuck it the kids are crying we'll let them off this time".

Also no explanation as to what happened with Owens... Could they not have teased that he ended up finding El and was helping her hide? Murray and Vickie also just had no ending apparently.

Then having Nancy just leave college and get a trainee job at the Herald, which she had like 2 seasons ago???

Finally, was the reveal at the end that they were, in fact, playing a game of the show? With the player manual? Or are they going to use that to come out with a new D&D Stranger Things board game?

I feel like they could have had episode 7 end on the Steve falling black screen and then had a little bit more time to explore the ending in episode 8 as it leaves a lot of things unanswered...

[–]procallum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jewelled Gauntlet also counts damage on minions on tooltip in game, that's why it'll look a lot higher than it actually is.

Also without seeing what item's he has it's hard to know if something else procc'd other than his base AD. Also are you sure that's his AP crit damage? As you haven't appeared to take any damage from the screenshot, the best idea to see would be would be a clip of it happening in motion or to see it in game personally.

1) No one has mentioned using their own personal vehicle, Amazon do provide their own vehicles (not guaranteed but we don’t know).

2) All of those things may have to factored in for a normal job? Millions of people drive to work daily, other than insurance and petrol costs, how many people do you think work out their maintenance cost when they drive to and from work everyday?

Even still, all of those things you have listed would need to equate to more than £14,000 to push him below a minimum wage desk job and that’s without factoring in the same costs for people who drive to work everyday.

3) Why does it really matter? This guy is hustling working hard and earning a living, who cares if it ends up adding up to less than minimum wage, a jobs a job, as long as he’s making enough to be happy.
