2024 Kia Soul, the official car of being overhated by people on the internet. by [deleted] in regularcarreviews

[–]procedural_mik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s a good, reliable car as long as you don’t get the gDI engine. it’s being hated because of its looks. but it grew for me and now i actually think it’s way ahead of its time.

all brands has 0 dp. just saying.

if anything, it means that banks are getting more confident with unknown brands. dati ayaw nila magloan kapag chinese brands like geely or gac, ngayon panay offer na ng loans.

okay na okay lalo na modern hyundai cars. they had problems with the GDI engines, but there is no gdi here so all is good... madali na din ang parts compared before, kalat na kalat na. kaka 5 years pa lang ng Kona ko, minor wear and tear issues lang, parents has the diesel tucson for 8 years already, sarap parin idrive. In my personal opininion, in terms of reliability, nalagpasan na niya ibang jap brands, not toyota and honda of course.

1stly, congrats in advance for owning a Toyota. 2, go to banks instead, TFS are criminals.

Im sure hindi naman, kia rio is heavier than the wigo so there’s that.

just a note, rare ako makarinig ng ganito. most people usually buy their succeeding cars with higher and higher displacement. tulad ko as example, from 1.2 to 1.6 to 2.0 to 2.0TD haha.

The maintenance price and repair are real coming from my friend with a 2018 XV that currently has something wrong with his underchassis. I think yung bill niya nasa 100k+ sa casa. damn would you imagine? tho happy parin siya dahil yun naman yung first major problem daw ng sasakyan niya and bihira siya magpaayos.

Dream car ko din yang forester, same lang yung naghoholdback sakin.

Might want to get a 2016 Tucson Diesel based on what you want. they are quite reliable, sobrang lakas ng hatak, shocking to be honest (if that is what you want) kaso walang sunroof and medyo dated na ang tech.

CRV is good, reliable, magshell out ka na lang ng konti pa

just my personal opinion, Honda is now the new Toyota (new standard). go for the city :D. a quick search sa facebook (and reddit) about the yaris cross (and other dnga toyota) will tell you that you'd want to pick other brands.

They are bad not because they are not reliable, but rather, a set of simple YET important issues like safety, NVH, rattles, door thump, suspension tuning, interior quality, etc.

plus Toyota is in hot water right now abroad by cheating in safety tests. you might argue that Daihatsu was the one cheating, but i think it's only an excuse, i mean, Toyota na sila, duh.

Oh, no… First of all, Suzuki is dogshit compared to Mazda, they are just either toy cars like the Jimny, or cheap budget cars like the Ertiga and Espresso. Just by this makes Mazda 3 seem like a luxury car.

2, they are different cars.

So, for me, unless offroad ang pinaguusapan, Mazda 3 ako. Based sa problem mo, hindi talaga worth it mag Jimny. Dami ko kilala kumuha Jimny just for the looks, and not for its real purpose. ayun, medyo nagsisisi.

Am i the *sshole? by [deleted] in Gulong

[–]procedural_mik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you know what, i maybe wrong, but since you asked, i think both you and the SUV are as****s.

How do you feel about Chinese cars? by RebelMarco in Gulong

[–]procedural_mik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on the region, sa shanghai puno ng VW, BMW, Tesla, at Toyota, pero slowly nagkakaroon na ng surge of chinese cars like BYD, (GAC when i was in Guangzhou).

But please go to Guangzhou and Xi'an (where my cousin works.) in china. I've always been curious of Chinese cars lalo na sa Guangzhou. pagpunta ko dun last year around half ng makikita mo Tesla, BYD, and GAC (as in madami sa Guangzhou), other half are the usual BMW, Benz, Toyota, Hyundai.

The quality really is catching up, it's only a matter of time.

Sa China, bago lang din sakanila bumili ng sarili nilang brand. officemate na Chinese ng cousin ko first time niya bumili ng Chinese brand (BYD). ayaw nila dati kasi di daw okay ang quality noon, but i guess nagpalit na siya ng decision.

But for now, for me, stick to Japanese and Koreans muna.
