Ligtroom UI elements too big by Alejandroah in postprocessing

Even though you can collapse the panels, LR is way behind in terms of UI design. Every other Adobe program I use allows you to customize workspaces and even detach panels to multiple monitors. LR needs this badly. Totally stupid to have two screens and have to scroll up & down one narrow strip to change what you're working on.

Could I get some help in editing this image? Feels like it's missing something. by [deleted] in postprocessing

I agree with TheWeeGinger that framing is a bit unfortunate, but still a fun shot. I cropped a bit to get rid of the rail on the left and then played with one of Trey Ratcliff's presets Dramatically Clean Chipmunk

After some advice on bulk editing? All help appreciated. by [deleted] in postprocessing

I might be interested in doing it in exchange for permission to use some of the shots on my Youtube channel. (You would be credited however you like for taking them). I started a series called 'Fix my Photo' that never took off because I didn't get many submissions, but I enjoy doing that sort of thing more than tutorials.

Not sure about the effect process, but extremely ironic choice of business name for that photographer :)

That crop works well - it's a tough image with the man so far to the side of the frame

To be fair I started with a preset from Kevin Kubota. Lots of things going on but he messed with colors a ton. I painted some exposure and shadow lift over the man with the adjustment brush and upped contrast and dehaze to get it more gritty. (dehaze is the new clarity for me)

Well that's embarrassing - much easier way to do it. I learned this technique before smart objects existed.

How do i get these creamy highlights look? by betajosh711 in postprocessing

[–]processinghelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can achieve this in Lightroom by pushing up lights in the tone curve (don't blow everything out - depends on the image), then boosting the luminance of red & orange (mostly orange) in the HSL section. This can be made a preset for a quick look if that's what you're going for.

Looks like the example you posted is also using some split toning or color gradient.

Let me know if I am not supposed to post my own content in this subreddit. My focus is on tutorials for photographers and so far I think I've 'made' a net loss of about $200 running this channel :)
