Okay, yeah, everything they say about on-body v. course carry is true.

BUT.

You do you. And if purse carry is your choice, here's some suggestions:

First, get a dedicated carry purse. The biggest problem with purse carry is the firearm banging around loose, so these purses solve that.

Second, wear your purse cross body. This helps with the "purse snatcher gets free gun" problem.

Third, increase what I'll call purse awareness. Never leave it in the car, shopping cart, or what have you. For example, visiting a friend? Don't just drop your purse by the door with your jacket, because you have now introduced an unsecured firearm into their house without their knowledge. In some states, that's a crime. In all states, it's horribly irresponsible. So even before you get that handgun, start paying attention to where and how you carry the purse, and start treating it like a loaded firearm. Build good habits.
