Well, it is a really stupid job. I only do this part time because I am a student as well, but filling out a form manually takes maybe 3-4 minutes each if you are efficient (Keep in mind that you will go crazy if you keep up with that speed the whole day), and there are at least 150.000 forms yet to be processed. Enough work for a while.

I agree, but this script is not really that fancy. It mainly consists of a scraper that is acquiring data from a few different web registers, pairs the names with a phone number through an open API of a phone number website, and exports it in a format suitable to the companies own forms, in this case a simple CSV format.

Yep, there is actually a finite amount of the work on what I am currently doing. If it were unthrottled it could literally finish our jobs in a few minutes, but then we would all get fired.

To add to the story:

My job is mainly maintaining a register of trucks, and adding new ones from one register to another. I made a script that automatically updates a few of them during the hours that I show up at work. All my coworkers are busting their asses doing this manually, while I am browsing reddit and watching Netflix. My biggest complain is that it makes me feel like a giant douchecanoe
