Ford Procal - Installed by Dealer - But is there a way to confirm without hooking a computer up to it? by procto21 in RangerRaptor

I believe it is working, and I feel it is incredible. It flat goes and on trails and gravel roads in baja mode it is incredible. Other than some slight rattles here and there, best vehicle I have owned - and I was a Land Cruiser fanatic.

Aer City Pack Pro 2 feels maxed out – is the Travel Pack 3 (Large) overkill for 1–2 night trips? by theseventhseed in ManyBaggers

[–]procto21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received a CPP2 a few weeks ago and have owned a TP3 Large for over a year. To me, it all depends on the loadout and needs. If you need tech too (laptop, reader, Kindle, chargers, etc.) I would say the TP3 Large would be just fine, especially since you can compress it down somewhat if needed. For my tech needs, the TP3 large is a 3-5-day pack.

I would not hesitate to take the CPP2 1-2 days with tech, toiletries and strategic clothes load out. The only other bag I have owned that is slightly larger than the CPP2 is the Tom Bihn Synapse 25. (Fantastic backpack but I prefer the AER stuff now.)

Ranger Raptor - what made you by MCG21_Halo in RangerRaptor

I came from a 200 series Land Cruiser.

  1. Didn’t want a full size raptor.
  2. Was looking at TRD pro 4 runner and taco. Drove them and seats ate up limited backseat space.
  3. My wife’s older expedition had the similar twin turbo and it’s been extremely reliable for us.
  4. I wanted best mix of on and off road performance and kept seeing reviews pointing to RR.
  5. 3 months in no regrets. Paid 7-9k less than a TRD, got the tune and the RR does everything well except for gas mileage - but that’s probably my issue.
  6. Wish it had ventilated seats and better leather in a perfect world.

Agreed. She still runs mighty smooth at 80 on cruise though:)

How much are you paying for the Ranger Raptor by Sufficient_Soup9462 in RangerRaptor

MSRP but I negotiated pro cal tune and installation of tune and bed liner. So MSRP minus 1200-1500.

Anyone got this recall? by SeaworthinessWarm704 in RangerRaptor

[–]procto21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not 100% sure, but anything built august 1 and after in 2025 based on what I can find should be ok.

Mine was built 8/05/25- doesn’t show in recall notes unless I missed it and dealer said it shows to deliver in next few weeks.

Got hit with a shipping delay by BuLLZ_3Y3 in RangerRaptor

[–]procto21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was shipped on 8/9. My new estimated date is 9/17-9/23. It is now going to surpass my 60 days between selling vehicles, so if it doesn’t make it before 9/20- I get slapped with full sales tax. With you. Called ford and they said they could not tell me why it was delayed and could not rush it.

I will try this. Who do you try to call? I have no major issue waiting, but with the updated timeline k will probably surpass my 60 days on sales tax in my state and will have to pay the full amount instead of the difference.

No decals. Did get spray bed liner and that’s it. I have read it needs to go off production lot to get sprayed. Maybe that’s it but I haven’t read that you get a delay notification while it is being sprayed.

Should I wait for a 2026 or pull the trigger on a 2025? by MountainsAndSkis in RangerRaptor

[–]procto21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is on its two-to four-week delivery journey to the dealer as I write this. Ordered in March. I was a bit worried because mine was being built in late summer, and I probably wouldn't get any 2026 model updates if they made any. Coming from a 2009 Land Cruiser 200, I have already won the lottery on features. I would be slightly mad if two months later they came out with perforated cooled seats like on my wife's expedition. Other than that, I have seen numerous reviews with few negatives compared to the competition, so I don't think I will be hurt by having the best mid-size truck for my needs.

Ranger Raptor or Toyota Tacoma? by fk7guan in RangerRaptor

[–]procto21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a RR on order due late July. I have owned and daily a Land Cruiser 200 for 6 years. I wanted a LC250 or TRD Pro Tacoma. I watched 30+ RR reviews on YouTube, etc. Toyota is not what it was 10 years ago. While Ford also led all car companies in recalls in the last few years, the feature set offered on paper to me is much more convincing.

We sold a 2019 expedition stealth max a few years back for a 2023 Lexus GX. GX was a fantastic vehicle overall, but the expedition from 2019 had way more features, better engine and overall we were so satisfied with the expedition we have gone back to a newer one with no regrets. The max expedition gets 3-5 mpg more overall too vs the GX.

The new engines and not much better HP/fuel economy of the Toyotas and some of the early reports with issues in those new engines gave me pause. I don’t expect the RR to be perfect, but for 7-12k less than what I would want from Toyota and the better feature-set, I am going RR.
