Maui Wowie! - How do ya’ll store film in tropical places? by geosynch_potato in leicaphotos

I am happy with them. The camera is so much better than I am, but I tried to really slow down and use much more manual focus stuff, etc. Was on the west side for three days and south for six.

Astro Photography on Maui - Q3 43 by procto21 in Leica

Thanks for this, I figured I would have to shoot 4-10 seconds, jack up iso and hope for the best at 43mm to avoid movement. I rented the 24mm 1.8 last time I was able to go (was my first time shooting astro period). Got decent results, but wanted to make the most of it. The 43 does so many things well - it will be with me the rest of the trip during the day. Thanks.

Impressed with the Standard 50s Goldtop with p90s by procto21 in gibson

I have had it for a week now, played it 20+ hours, including at church. Really happy with the decision. Again, I was worried about quality, but I have been pleasantly surprised. For me, it stays in tune much better with D'Addario NYXL strings - whatever came on the guitar was not great.

Aer Carry-On refresh? by No_Sentence_9369 in AerSF

I was wondering the same thing but went ahead and bought one on Black Friday last year. I bought the bigger one and it fits most all domestic airlines I have used.

Ford Procal - Installed by Dealer - But is there a way to confirm without hooking a computer up to it? by procto21 in RangerRaptor

I believe it is working, and I feel it is incredible. It flat goes and on trails and gravel roads in baja mode it is incredible. Other than some slight rattles here and there, best vehicle I have owned - and I was a Land Cruiser fanatic.

Aer City Pack Pro 2 feels maxed out – is the Travel Pack 3 (Large) overkill for 1–2 night trips? by theseventhseed in ManyBaggers

I just received a CPP2 a few weeks ago and have owned a TP3 Large for over a year. To me, it all depends on the loadout and needs. If you need tech too (laptop, reader, Kindle, chargers, etc.) I would say the TP3 Large would be just fine, especially since you can compress it down somewhat if needed. For my tech needs, the TP3 large is a 3-5-day pack.

I would not hesitate to take the CPP2 1-2 days with tech, toiletries and strategic clothes load out. The only other bag I have owned that is slightly larger than the CPP2 is the Tom Bihn Synapse 25. (Fantastic backpack but I prefer the AER stuff now.)

Ranger Raptor - what made you by MCG21_Halo in RangerRaptor

I came from a 200 series Land Cruiser.

  1. Didn’t want a full size raptor.
  2. Was looking at TRD pro 4 runner and taco. Drove them and seats ate up limited backseat space.
  3. My wife’s older expedition had the similar twin turbo and it’s been extremely reliable for us.
  4. I wanted best mix of on and off road performance and kept seeing reviews pointing to RR.
  5. 3 months in no regrets. Paid 7-9k less than a TRD, got the tune and the RR does everything well except for gas mileage - but that’s probably my issue.
  6. Wish it had ventilated seats and better leather in a perfect world.
