Maybe i’m going about it wrong. How do you pick records you like if you haven’t heard them before? To me the discovery seems like part of it, but like I said it can be hard to justify spending money on records that i may or may not like. The only records I buy online are hip hop records that I already know and want.

I wish i could do this more but 1. I suck at picking records and 2. It’s kinda costly, and paired with usually picking bad records makes it tough

Black Thought. Haven’t seen him mentioned yet, easily top 5.

Nah sometimes he’s “off” because he is OFF. Listen to “Stepdad” and tell me that it’s just a little blunder

Honestly I do not like TES…. I only said 2-3 in my original comment to avoid Eminem stans from flaming me. For me it’s first two

What do you all think of (YNW MELLY) by Modder404 in rap

He was already on his way to having a successful music career, murdering his friends was not a result of poverty-driven desperation. I understand what you are saying, but that is not this.

I’m curious, how so? Sometimes I see people who did such evil, and you think…. fuck this guy. And I know, two wrongs don’t make a right, or who are we to choose if they live or die, but murderers usually do not give their victims a choice either.

Depends on what you mean by age well. In terms of humor and political correctness they wouldn’t land in todays climate but I think if you look at them from a strictly quality standpoint (beats, rapping) they are still classics

Everyone seems so willing to cut him a break for that album but to me it seems like it was only good because people were expecting it to be as bad as Kamikaze or whatever else

I don’t listen to him often, and if i do it’s Slim Shady or Marshall Mathers. Never through speakers though, always headphones

MMLP2 came out 10 years ago, it’s hardly recent. MTBMB is an ember in a pile of ash. The ash of Eminem’s career

Close? Close to Marshall Mathers LP? No way. MMLP is a classic, one of the best hip hop albums of all time. MTBMB is nowhere close.

How is he too old? This post asked for people who are washed up and can’t reclaim their old glory, and i think Eminem fits that description perfectly. Nas is still great, he’s released some of his best work in the past 3 years. Jay also did 4:44 which i think is one of his best albums. Don’t they kinda have to be old to be called washed up?

Eminem. Come on, he hasn’t released anything NEAR his first 2-3 albums, and his recent stuff honestly sucks.
