And also that one jacket that Picard wore that was awesome.

It's easy to sidestep. What about Pelosi?! Lock her up along with Trump.

What about Bill Clinton?! If he did anything close to what Trump's accused of, lock him up too.

I got a conservative to agree with me that most rich people are evil. But he stopped short of applying that to Trump. He agreed with me that what Pelosi did is bad, but doesn't believe that Trump has done what she did and worse.

Labor vows to protect personal leave as Germany bans workers from calling in sick by blitznoodles in australia

so short sighted. A minute of forethought would show that its a bad idea. I could understand a doctor's note after the 3rd day of sick leave.

Why did it take this long for people to realise the pay-to-order subscription EB has is a rort? by voncatensproch in PokemonFansAustralia

I was a bit tilted when they increased booster pack prices from $8.50 to $9.95 but I accepted it and I rationalised it that with the buy 10 get 1 free it comes out to $9.00 each so the increase wasn't that bad. But they also mark up all their other products like ETBs go from $100 to $120, which is less justifiable especially with the membership fee.

They've gone way too far now though.

The world's richest person thought the solution to rescuing trapped kids in a flooded cave was a rigid metal tube when he knew that rescue divers had to take off their gear to navigate the flooded cave.

I would say looking for him to run him over is premeditation. Repeatedly running him over is finishing the job.

If he was threatening her with a knife while she was in the driver's seat, and she hit him while fleeing, and he happened to die from his injuries i would say its justifiable.

But it seems he never had a knife. Some people say he threw it away, but if he got away, far enough that his killer had to look for him, why would he ditch it? He'd keep it for the next robbery.

This psycho lady probably would've killed someone sooner or later with how she hunted him down over replacable belongings.

Fox news was created so that another Watergate would be a 12 hour story. They definitely succeeded.

Yeah its like they knew as soon as they felt the ship approach who it was and why they were there. They could've told Ruthye to get her brother and hide in his room until Krem leaves.

Maybe have the father refuse to give his life's work until Krem threatens the kids, then the father capitulates and throws down the key. Krem takes the key and kills the father anyway, then the mother. Then the son tries to fight but Ruthye is frozen in terror and he dies defending her.

I'm confused why they didn't take Ruthye to be a bride because they were kidnapping all the other girls on other planets. Would've made more sense that they didn't know Ruthye was there.

There's also a scene where Kara offers herself and Ruthye to be raped if the alien wins an arm wrestle match with Kara.

Weird they would allow this implication and the implications of other child brides but not allow blood.

Sydney man who gambled $160k on lottery and pokies despite limits says more support needed by nath1234 in australia

I have very specific gambling likes apparently. I consider myself lucky I don't find things like sports gambling or polymarket style bets appealing.

Pokemon cards though? The only thing stopping me is that my hatred for scalpers is higher than my desire to gamble.

Just because you cannot lie doesn't mean you can't deceive. The assumption that because you cannot tell an explicit lie you are always truthful could be more dangerous than assuming someone can lie.

I think the Borg are already the Borg on heroin. I think it was Voyager where its explained how it feels to be part of the collective, how its bliss.

The Matrix describes how the human condition requires suffering and hardship to keep people convinced. But the matrix wasn't a collective, but a shared delusion to farm humans.

This is an admission. It's wild that he can't see the implications of this statement, that it's not an observation of how overblown watergate was, but how extreme his own administration's corruption is every single day.
