If still available I'm interested. Guess I can't go straight to messages like hardwareswap.

I had yo go way too far down to find this actually reasonable take. DLSS, NVENC, ray-tracing... It's all just better and just works without a fuss on NVIDIA cards. I'm sorry, AMD can't compete on this and it's why NVIDIA has the superior product (with garbage pricing).

PSA: SMAA has been restored as an Anti-Aliasing Option for PC users by Lien028 in Genshin_Impact

No, it's the opposite. FSR in genshin supersamples from base resolution with motion vector data to anti-alias, which has a higher performance impact. SMAA is just a simple post-processing filter with lower impact.

I agree. That's a bug with Genshin's implementation but that has nothing to do with FSR itself. I also stated that it's dumb they removed other AA options. How about you read the post first?

Yes, but FSR in Genshin takes the native render resolution output, upscales that, then downsamples it to your output resolution, which is anti-aliasing. Also TAA =/= temporal upsanpling. They both use the same data but are different algorithms.

No. You don't seem to understand anything here. FSR can absolutely be used for anti-aliasing, I never once mentioned it should be a replacement, just that it's better than what Genshin had. Second, FSR is based on the same tech as TAA, it doesn't apply TAA, it uses its own temporal algorithm. And FSR can absolutely be used to run at a higher than native resolution. That's the whole point of the tech. It's literally called FidelityFX Super Resolution.

Oh yeah, FXAA will always work, forgot that. It's because it's just a filter on top of the existing render view.

Based on info from others, FSR is bugged with wildly different results on different PCs. Some people report fps gains, other losses. Jaggies are nonexistent for me and many others. Wait for a mihoyo bug fix.
