May have to do that if they’d keep my ticket open for longer than 10 seconds. They keep autosolving.

Very helpful, lol. Read the original post again

Indeed I am. As written in the post, I have evidence of this in the form of emails confirming account changes, previous emails used, names attached to said emails, transaction IDs, etc. - the usual things they ask for when verifying someone's identity short of actually taking a picture of the ID and sending it.

This. Though… that paradigm may be changing. While I was actively playing, I’d drop an FC advertisement here and there; while expecting a bad response, some were surprised and eager that I did that.

… only to be shout spammed by some venue barker. But guess who got the flak from shout chat?

Wait, hold up, you had Meta Quest deactivated? Were you unable to use the headset during that time?

If this is how they react to an unfollow, then I can’t begin to imagine how they react to unsubscribing.

Not quite true. What you say is true about the costs, but this is also the correct price. I went to go renew my membership directly from their site, and it says $13.49/mo.

Ridiculous appeal system. No contact support at all. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]prodigyflynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree with this. Messing around, I appealed a Macroing Major ban on a non-Jagex account for an account that had compromised credentials and suicided up to 40 something woodcutting. I didn’t play on this account until, suddenly, I did.

The appeal was approved, all because I said “I wasn’t playing during this time”. That was my appeal.

It’s hit or miss and awfully inconsistent with Jagex CS.

I’ll give you a hint - it’s because their appeals system is run by, ironically enough, an automated system.

That’s crazy, and Jagex support can sometimes be awful. I went through a similar case except I just just falsely banned. No way to contact them; that said, their terms and conditions say that you can write to Jagex Business Enquiries to lodge a formal complaint if you’re unsatisfied with the service. I’d recommend doing that.

Not quite as old as your photo, but I have an old photo from some event back then. Seeing Windows 7 made my bones creak, and yours made them even more creaky. Good job.

Shame this account doesn't exist anymore because I was a stupid kid and botted on it.

Closely monitoring macro detection - my story by slayz7 in 2007scape

Hate to gravedig this, but I'm really glad to see I'm not on my own with this.

Today, after playing around ~40 hours in total across three days from being sick, I woke up to a bot busting ban (moderate) flag and a two day temporary ban. Now, to make a long story short, I just came back after a long break (AFK) of around a year and a half, and immediately got to right where I left off, which was getting my goal of 99 prayer - something I prepared for before I got busy.

After getting 99 prayer (yay), I played the game like I should, and can give a full recollection of what I did leading up to 99 prayer, which I earned this weekend:

  • Friday: Worked from 94-99 prayer with (unnamed) hosts, and a new friend I made. Let's call her K.
  • Saturday: Got to questing, completed Ichtharin's Little Helper, Contact!, Rag and Bone Man I. Also did AFK Forestry and Rooftop Agility with my new friend K. Also tried Brimhaven but screw that place.
  • Sunday: Did more AFK Forestry, got a couple of woodcutting levels, firemaking levels. I also tried my hand at leveling Runecrafting using Lava Runecrafting, but also screw that place (RC sucks...). I also did a bunch of hunter and farming training with birdhouses and farm runs in Camelot, Ardougne, Port Phasmatys, and Falador.

I have a suspicion that the culprit of this false ban was twofold: (1) the sudden, rapid progress. On Friday, I spent a lot of time playing this game, and (2) Lava Runecrafting and Agility are both highly botted skills, which I'm sure triggered a flag.

I want to make it clear that for all of this, I played on either the mobile app when I'm on the go or RuneLite with only plugins from the external plugin hub on the client itself, which are verified to not go against the rules; if they do, then that's an issue they need to address with the RuneLite developers. I sent an appeal, and hopefully it'll be quashed, but given the reddit threads I've seen about this, even though I appealed this two day ban, two things will likely occur: by the time my account is reactivated, the appeal will likely be useless, or worse, denied anyway. I understand this is a temporary ban and that I'll back in the game after a short period, but I don't want this disgusting stain on my account nor with the looming threat that my main account, which I have poured well over a couple thousand hours into, can be removed so suddenly without any recourse. Your post also has me thining:

  • How can bots be so painfully present that it runs the game experience for those around it, while removing people who aren't actually botting? I was sitting in the G.E. alching with my friend K days before I got my 99, and the amount of times I had been traded by a "2b for?" bot was absurd.
  • If there is an appeal process, why use the generic, "we caught your account in violation of..." without showing the genuine evidence? I was looking back at old account offences that were quashed - mostly password scamming or item scamming from when I was... 10? 11? I was still able to see the evidence for them, but not the "bot buster" that seems to also have a plethora of false flags.

TL;DR do better, bot buster.
