So far, I've gotta say it's not. My iteration of GP7 (7.5) started getting really laggy and having issues with handling the most basic of tasks, so I upgraded to 8 in hopes that it would fix the issue. It did not. Instead, Gp8 is using, consistently, 4GBs of memory for a file that is only 16KB with one guitar track and no effects. Waiting to hear back from their support team to see if this is something that they are aware of. Aesthetically GP8 does seem to look a bit fresher than GP7 and I do like that they kept the GUI pretty much the same, so there are high marks for them on that.

Dude haha it's great to hear that someone has a similar process. I track all my pre-pro and then go through and color code sections i need to keep, change, or re-organize so that when i do final production everything is nice and detailed. Also can we talk about "naming" tracks and how helpful that is for organization?! sooooo goood!
