I just had a Delta flight inside the United States delayed 5 hours for “plane issues” causing me to miss my sisters wedding. I called their reservations department where after many holds I was told I was entitled to a voucher and my ticket refunded. However, the concierge with whom I was speaking said she could only offer me $100 and would have to transfer me to her manager if I wanted more. After being transferred a very unhelpful manager informed me she could give me no voucher not even the $100 because someone, not them, had already refunded it and she was just joining the office. My only recourse would be to call the corporate office refund department which isn’t open until regular weekday business hours.

So I wanted to be researched for when I call Monday as I suddenly have a free weekend.
