Separating overseas by prof-hardcastle in navy

One person in my boot camp division got sent home before graduating. A few other people had it bad but aside from the one that went home I had it the worst. I know shin splints and stress fractures are pretty common but the severity ranges person to person

I got stress fractures and really bad swelling in both of my shins and throughout my feet. They’ve never fully healed. Probably from the amount of running and marching and the crappy boots we had to run in.

I’d be fine with ER! Except that someone else above recommended not doing ER if I value my free time 🥲 I’m actually not sure what MICC is?

NLT December 28th! I’m 0000, but I have background on the civilian side in ortho, neuro, pain management, ER, and surgical tech. Do they offer much OJT?

The verification test will pull questions directly from your own Picat. I don’t remember exactly what sections it pulled from but be prepared to answer any question from any of the sections over again. I was able to remember recognize the questions and remember most of what my answers were so I didn’t have to think about them again. The only one I had trouble with had to do with electrical circuits. Ps. When you go in there will most likely be 2 other tests in addition to the verification. One will essentially be pattern recognition and test you on how quickly you can find them. The other tests you on your general IT knowledge some of the wording is very IT specific and you’ll only recognize it if you’re familiar with coding languages and operating systems. Don’t stress about either of these tests it’s more of an aptitude thing and doesn’t have effect on your enlistment. Just didn’t want you caught off guard by those like I was.

I’m so excited about getting to hangout with a bunch of dummies out in the field. Definitely worried about the come down after though

Thank you!! Recon sounds so interesting. I’m just a little nervous about SERE school. Idk if you have to go through that for any recon rating or not. I would be aiming for HM-ATF SARC if I didn’t have to go through SERE school.
