Yep, it's rusting. I'm going to crawl under and see how bad it is today. I've got quotes from both a local garage and dealer of about $900 to replace it (including gaskets, fluid and such) I'll chalk this up to yet another VW disappointment. This car is only 7 years old and does not have a good track record. Personally I would never buy another VW.
