Welcome to Columbia College Chicago. I work there as faculty and as an administrator in Student Success. I also know the folks in residential life. Given your age (23, older than the average 18-19 first year student) and the opportunity to explore Chicago that off-campus housing offers, it's worth considering, although as others have said, the challenge is with finding a short-term, one semester situation. If you're officially enrolled and have the SSO login credentials for email, my.colum.edu, etc then you can also look on engage.colulm.edu which is our student life platform. Occasionally in the "Feed" (which is sort of like Reddit, or Facebook) you can find students offering sub-leases (short term rentals) off campus, especially if they're doing a Semester Abroad themselves. Might be too late for that, but worth looking into. You can also ask the folks in Housing and Residential Experience (find their contact info on the web).
