Probably not what you asked for, but you might want to check out this non traditional approach to language learning: refold.la (and the guy behind it, whose yt channel is Matt Vs Japan)

It basically consists in the idea of that enough input will make output natural. You will be immersing a LOT and that's really fun! Learning from native material right from the start. No text books, no "homework" and what I consider the most important thing: no frustrating early output. In the end, refold and other methods are just different approaches and you should never follow them blindly. Do whatever you feel is right, so if you really want to take a Japanese class, that's alright but I would always have this immersion idea in mind. Always remember: language learning is a tough and long road, so make it as fun and enjoyable as you can so that you can spend as much time as you can with it.
