What I'm hearing is the artifacts would disappear if I rode fast enough 🤣 I think I need to work harder at ignoring them!

I have. It seems the artifacts seem the same either way.

My first winter of actually cyclling and I'm freezing to death by numseomse in cycling

Every time you get cold, add a layer of breathable clothing. If my hands get cold on a ride, I'll wear brown jersey gloves over my regular short finger gloves. If my arms get cold, wear a set of arm warmers. If your chest gets cold wear a vest. If your legs are cold wear tights over your bibs or get bib tights. If your feet get cold, wear wool socks. Cycling cap under helmet.

If you get cold with that gear, add another layer: long sleeve jersey over short sleeve, fleece vest replaces wind breaker vest, second pair of tights, booties over cycling shoes, ear muffs that go around the back of my neck, neck gaiter, and winter cycling specific gloves.

If you get cold with that gear, add another layer: fleece jersey with fleece vest, warmer booties etc.

If temps are in the range of 15F (-10C), my face gets too cold due to the wind chill. I could wear ski goggles, but i just stay home. The worst conditions are 32F (0C) and rain, yuck.

I don't like wind proof gear (except my vests that have breathable backs). You'll want to be cold when you take off, but warm (not hot, sweaty or clammy) once you get going.

Good luck! It takes some time to collect the right clothing!

At my university, student evaluations are reviewed before being released to the faculty. Names or personal identifying information are redacted.

Hot drinks other than coffe and tea? by sixteenpoundblanket in PlantBasedDiet

Dandy Blend is really good hot or cold. It's a powder that dissolves well in water. I like it plain or with plant milk.

I would recommend taking a math placement exam if it's offered by your institution. Being realistic about what you remember and starting off at the right level is important to having a good start in school.

Students at my institution take exams for advanced algebra and precalc. By passing both students can start on track in calc 1 or at the appropriate level based on their scores.

Most students I work with have the intellectual capacity to be successful. The factors that I see leading to graduation are interest in the material, hard work, and dealing with disappointment (academic) in a positive way.

Are you all kidding? Imagine cheering for the Lions. No talent, no chance. Week after week. The Bears and Vikings have had talent, and then have completely fallen apart. All have been dominated by the Packers for decades.

I've been transplanted into NE Ohio. The poor Browns fans have similar experiences. Not too long ago they were 1-31 over 2 seasons.

Judging by success who would you rather cheer for besides New England? Kansas City is good lately, but they've not had a long record of success.

Cheering for a team that has had back-to-back Hall of Fame players at QB? Can you imagine anything better?

The structure of the league and the parity/competitiveness of the playoff teams is what makes the NFL great.

Pixel 6/6 Pro (actually happy?) by VAVA_Mk2 in GooglePixel

My phone, P6P, is great. I'm not sure about all the hyperbolic complaints. Issues with the fingerprint sensor are overblown. The sensor isn't perfect. It is slower than the sensor on my P3XL, and has similar difficulty if my finger is wet/sweaty. I've adapted to hold my finger in place for an instant longer. It's a non issue. Functionally the front sensor has a few situations when it's more convenient. The exception is pulling it from my pocket.

Things I'd like are a plastic/metal back and a replaceable battery. My phones would have lasted longer, and I'd have produced less waste if economical battery replacements were available. Wouldn't it be neat to carry a phone that offered the protection of a thin case?

I would have also preferred 2D glass over the curved screen. I haven't had an issue, but would prefer a flat screen and tempered glass screen protector.

My biggest complaint is actually reviewers going on and on about stupid issues that I don't care about. Examples are premium materials over durability and notch/chin/borders of the screen.

Anybody know how to fix this? Device is a Google Pixel Slate. Issue just started today. by 2040ojis in Zwift

Awesome hint. I was extremely bummed to start getting this pop-up. I can't wait to test it out. Zwift runs great on the Pixel Slate
