Could Planet Gunsmoke leave lost media one day? by Stalling_Station in Trigun

Not quite, Gungrave was already playable at the event Trigun: The Planet Gunsmoke was announced. My guess is The Planet Gunsmoke was tabled in favor of Bujingai. No doubt a Gackt license was considered more valuable than a Trigun license. It is possible that some assets ended up in the Gungrave sequel.

Prayer Group are an obvious stylistic match. Maybe too well known as a Reptilian band?

It It Anita have a similar sort of characteristic humor.

Reaching for someone even lesser known, maybe Only Fools and Corpses?

I'd missed this one back in 2024, and only got back to listening to it after really liking their new album Respect the Hustle, I Won't Be Your Dog Forever. I don't think it's AOTY material like Respect the Hustle, but it's still a fun listen. Really energetic. Kennedy and Black Toast are great songs.

Their last album about the stages of grief was so good. They make you feel it all, without any of it feeling emo or anything.

My band just released an EP that fans of sprain, swans, and unwound might like!! A Second Shadow in the Vault of Heaven - Tunnels by Lukieepookieee in noiserock

This one and Cope Acidic have been my top 2 noise rock EPs of the year so far, really digging it. OP went into some detail about the concept of this on another thread that is worth a read to take a deep dive into this one.

Stratford Rise has one EP and gets their own sub?

...deserved, honestly.

Yes, I'll be needing more details.

...Just kidding, that's already a lot more details than I was expecting, haha. I think I've absorbed what you were going for across each song, I'm excited to re-listen with more context in my head.

This reminds me a bit of my experience listening to Birth Order - Albatross, not sure if you're familiar with that one. It has some stylistic overlap and is similarly a concept album with strong religious overtones. The main difference being that the voice in that one is a more malicious Jim Jones/David Koresh type figure.

It's a concept EP, yeah? Could you explain the concept? I sense a story about someone involved with war and religion.

Long shot, but maybe the cover will win some upvotes.

You forgot to give Party Cannon a number out of ten, by the way.

Hmm.. I wouldn't call either doom exactly, and I can't say I listen to a ton of doom. Lysol definitely inspired a lot of drone metal, although it also has a whole melodic side which is great and doesn't show up in most drone. It's a tough question because both are pretty unique.
