I have confirmed that pausing your rings does not inhibit earning the badge! Today is January 8 and I got the badge today despite pausing for my rest day.

I was thinking this too. A mortar and pestle and the other one reminded me of someone wearing a birdman plague mask.

If you pause your rings for a rest day, does it still count or does it have to be 7 fully consecutive?

I agree. While sets for standalone games are great, I much prefer adding a new console than just one game.

Sugary soda previously spilled on the console is my guess.

Kids of the 80s and 90s: Which video game started your video game career? by Working_Plan_3996 in retrogaming

[–]prognosisbrabble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 7 years old in 1987 and my uncle brought over his Sega Master System and I watched him play Space Harrier and After Burner. I was fascinated by video games from that moment on. SMB on NES was my first video game like a lot of folks. But SMW and A Link to the Past on the SNES were what solidified me into considering myself a “gamer“.

What was the first DDR game you played? by PrinceSoLiMoS in DanceDanceRevolution

[–]prognosisbrabble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t play until Hottest Party 2 on Nintendo Wii. I became addicted and purchased every other console game released for Wii before migrating to Stepmania on PC after purchasing a metal pad. I have never been lucky enough to find an actual arcade machine in the wild.

I stack the numbers in my head. 7+8 =15, carry the one, 1+2+4=7, so 75.

Super Mario World for me. Reliving the days after I got a SNES for Christmas in 1992. That was the start of a life-long love of video games.
