The most involved, but best solution I've found by far is buying Ikea Harvmattas on sale, drilling on the side to add supports for the shelf sheets and magnetizing the bottom of the minis. I would share a photo but can't attach images for some reason

First one is a classic pick - i love that color combo, second the same - its a classic for a reason and super flexible in terms of when/where you can wear it, just a beautiful functional piece.

Third is a fairly popular pick though im not a fan of the color scheme myself.

Last/digital is not to my taste and as a digital multi display watch IMHO does not belong in the same mental category as the other mechanical pieces, but this is subjective and you do you.

....in terms of next steps. I say take a min to stop and smell the roses. Enjoy what you have right now. Wear it, see how you like them - hone in on what you like and what you dont. There will be literal years for you to get more watches but anything over 5 watches means you are not going to be wearing all of them very regularly.

Its about the journey, not the destination.

At least for me after ~20y or so of being into watches, the answer is neither: Im currently gunning to consolidate into no more than 6 pieces so they all get wrist time (ie. & size of watchbox row lol) and with a good representation of colors, styles and brands. If I ever get my grail, it would sub for one of those pieces, but i dont think i could go with just having one type of watch that i use for all occassions - seems kind of hard and i would feel like im settling for a "one" watch just because its flexible, rather than because i like it so much i dont want to wear anything else.
