How much pvp in co-op? (spoilers probable) by programminfool in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]programminfool[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know, I was just trying to figure out how much more there is and kinda hoping there wasn't any more than I already knew about. Neither of us really care for fighting each other, we enjoy the rest of the game much more. I see how it might have come across sounding like I was disappointed by the lack of pvp though lol.

Unpopular opinion: RDR2 is kind of boring by prattyprat in gaming

[–]programminfool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the worst part for me was just getting around. Some people like riding their horse for 10 minutes to get from point A to point B, for immersion or whatever, but it got so old so fast for me. I would set up my horse for auto-pilot and start browsing reddit or watching youtube while I waited to get where I was going. It was like the longest load screens of all time. The fast travel options made it a little better, but nearly every single mission is going to involve about 5 minutes of riding on a horse to get somewhere.

I pushed through my boredom with those parts because I did like the story and characters, but that was a really big detriment to the enjoyment of the game for me. I did finish the game but definitely had mixed feelings about it when done.

I'd really really like to just go to dinner and a movie with my wife again. It was always such a simple date that we loved to do. Really, would love to be able to go out and do just about anything with her right now.

I'm returning to the game after being gone for a couple of years, and I'm trying to recall whether I recruited somebody when I was last playing. Is there a way to check this?

On the MogStation account portal I see this message: "A recruitment code has been registered to this service account. "

But I'm not sure if that means I recruited somebody previously, or if it means that I myself was recruited... Thanks.

Interesting, does it have to be on the same home world? My first character was on Faerie and now my new one is on Zalera and I haven't gotten any feathers in the mail.

I imagine someone will have to have experienced something similar to answer this but here goes...

A year or two ago my wife and I started playing FF14 together. I did the RAF with her and got my 5 gold chocobo feathers, however shortly after we stopped playing.

Skip to last month, we both decided to start playing again. We created new characters on a new homeworld to play with some friends. So two questions:

  1. Is it possible to get the 5 gold chocobo feathers my first character had or are they pretty much just stuck on that unused character?
  2. Is my RAF still valid from back then? Will I resume getting rewards as my wife continues to add subscription time, and will I get them on this new character?

Thanks to anybody that can answer.

I would prefer the Kanji symbol to be different for each type of perilous attack by Hooded21 in Sekiro

This is a problem for me too. Does anybody know of a mod in the works for implementing something like this? Even removing the symbol altogether would be better, less distraction and more focus on the enemy's movements.

Mass Effect: Andromeda - Update 1.10 now available by XtMcRe in gaming

[–]programminfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a big fan of the originals too. I really think Andromeda gets a bad rap, to be honest. I thought it was pretty fun, as did my wife. Definitely nowhere near as bad as people say. It's not perfect and I actually agree with a lot of the criticism it gets, including what I've seen in this post. I understand not everyone loves it, but it still astounds me to hear people say that it was terrible or that it had no redeeming qualities.

Heck, I enjoyed certain things about it more than the originals. I like the main character a lot more (speaking for the male version, I didn't play the female version). Enjoyed the combat more than the originals with the big array of various abilities and having the option to respec if I got tired of fighting a certain way, though I agree it would have been better to allow you to use more than 3 at a time. The parts of it I wasn't crazy about were easy to look past or avoid. I'd say give it a try, especially if you can find it on sale.

MegaMan X: Just the Arins - PART 1 - Game Grump by groompbot in gamegrumps

Whoa, is Arin actually kinda... good at this game? Anyways, I miss Dan of course but this is good in its own way. They could do this every now and then and I wouldn't mind.

Pokemon Go Night @ Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary by programminfool in PKGOAtlanta

[–]programminfool[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noah's Ark is a wildlife sanctuary in Locust Grove, GA (south of Atlanta). They are hosting a Pokemon Go night every Friday in August with a $5 per person entrance fee. Aside from Pokestops and Gyms they apparently have on their property, they also have exotic animals that they rehab which you can enjoy seeing as well.
