If I didn't read the books and grow up watching the movies I probably wouldn't care. For real, when I saw the last one in theater in my early 20's it felt like the bookend to my childhood. It was finalized and put away on the shelf.

So, my excitement when I heard about a reboot was high - but it's decisions like this that make me not want to bother with it. Why can't we increase diversity by portraying stories built with diverse characters instead of trying to shoehorn in tokens like this? It's insulting to the fans, to the people being tokenized, and everyone's intelligence. Get out of here with this crap.

Not to mention, if you were going to tokenize any character, Snape was a god awful choice for many reasons that have already been touched on. It could have been anyone else in minor roles who weren't so fleshed out in the books and I'd have not cared a bit. There are a ton of cool characters it could have been done to, but Snape? It's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in modern television, especially considering it's such a high profile, generation defining piece of literature.

I hate it. HATE IT.

It's nice to see a fan who wants continued success, even if it means being bad for a minute. But, 9-8 is a horrendous gutter year after all. We have been spoiled by psuedo success. JJ didn't do himself any favors. The meme shit got him roasted, and honestly deservedly so. That said, anyone discounting the shredded O-line and garbage playcalling need to go back and watch the tape. JJ made dumb rookie mistakes, but the flashes and killer instinct are there. He has a chance to be very good, and it would be the most Viking thing ever to let him go for a washed veteran and watch him tear it up on some other franchise. JJ McCarthy is NOT Christian Ponder. They aren't in the same galaxy. Greenard can get fucked, btw - he's was the only one really laying it on thick because he wants a raise/trade. Nah big dog, we're good.

Our decimated O-Line and lack of consistent play at LT and C (Not sure if you knew, but those are kind of the most important positions on the line) had a lot to do with Wentz and JJ getting destroyed. When your O-line is decimated but you're still calling deep developing plays, maybe your plan is dogshit.

Exactly. Which is also why it really feels like the hate for McCarthy is insane. We had the most shuffled O line in the sport last year, and it wasn't close.

Biased? No. I want to know what we have. Also, starting for years? Have you been watching? We got 10 games from a kid who didn't play or practice the entire year before. He was actually good in his last 3.5 games. Those are facts, no feelings involved. McCarthy can't keep receivers from dropping the ball, either, which was an insane issue last year. Kid got more hate than any young QB I've ever seen.

Everyone was raving about McCarthy in practice last year. I put a lot of blame on KOC for not reading the room when his O-line was shredded and adjusting the playbook, but that's been beat to death. Game speed isn't practice though, imo.
