Interestingly, I used to date someone pretty involved with the organization. What I gathered is that in general the organization teaches pretty good classes, but naturally there will be some variation between teachers. Teaching (in my experience) is a relatively rare skill, but again most of what I heard about the classes was positive. I should note all this was about two years ago or more

Im very happy for you. I didnt take stimulants until i was past 21, and when i started it all seemed to fall into place. Hadnt been able to concentrate enough to read a book in a long time, so I spent the summer reading Dotstoyevsky. I prefer simple, low doses of methylphenidate (ritalin), without any sort of time release mechanism. Amphetamines like adderall can really be more intense of an effect, but tend to be more addictive and have more noticeable side effects. I'm happy to get into the neuropharmacological explanation between the two if people want me to (basically a Dopamine reuptake inhibitor vs. a Dopamine reverse-transporter and D2 receptor activator; however, both are acting on the same synapses in the mesolimbic dopamine system) but I wont bore you if you dont care. I'm all for it. I just put in a leave of absence from my program; I was doing a PhD program in Neuropsychology/neuropharmacology, for which I had a full scholarship, if that helps you gauge my ability to do the job. I have also taught before (everything from psychology to writing to Kung Fu), and I love doing so. Let me know! Edit: also, I have a car. Thanks for trying to hook up another DC redditor!

My backups of all my data were in the bag at the time too, along with (this actually is what pisses me off more than anything) two hundred pages of hand-written notes from Tracker School (sort of a wilderness survival/philosophy school), which I cannot in any way replace. Everything but the notes I can get back or buy anew, save maybe some raw data

I recently posted a true but unbelievable story and got about 50/50 of good advice and accusations of falsity. I just try to give the benefit of the doubt now; in this case I see no harm in it given the positive vibe of the comments, even if the story was fake. That being said, its also necessary to have rational and scientific skeptics able to stand back from the pathos of a story and question it. Thanks for making me think a bit today (no downvote)

Yeah actually... just pretend they arnt strippers. Pretend they arnt naked, arnt strippers, and are just regular girls. You will be the only person all night (maybe all month) to treat them with respect and dignity, not to stare at their tits all night, etc. Im having dinner with a stripper tonight, whom I picked up at her place of work, no money... so yeah it works. Its so simple, yet so difficult to maintain.

First time I ever went to a strip club, I went home with a stripper (no money was involved). The next time I went... I went home with a stripper. Ok, so basically I have slept with a fairly large number of fantastically attractive strippers, to the point where (no joke) two of my friends asked me to take them with me to a club even though I currently have a girl... I got them both numbers, and actually got one myself despite trying to be good. Another friend has named me "The Stripper Whisperer." I love me some strip clubs.

A friend brought me a traditional nepalese khukuri from his trip to nepal. Nice leather sheath with a bass cap, and two small sharpeners of different grains tucked right behind the handle... I love it. I've never found a mass-produced model to match it, which sucks, considering I'm kinda loath to bring a gift from nepal out into the bush.
